chapter 5: Jasmine

My alarm just went off. I woke up took a shower and put on my outfit I choosed for today. After I got my clothes on I made my way downstairs to eat breakfast without say a word to my father," good morning honey, how did you sleep?" My dad asked nicely handing me my plate. He thought I forgot what what happened." Honey you have to learn to for forgive and forget, I'm sorry for assuming there was a thing going on with the boy, I just don't want my only baby girl to grow up too fast."my dad said sadly." It's okay dad, I am too sorry for reacting that way." I said giving my dad a big hug. I'm the baby of my family my older Yasmine is in college and will be staying with us during winter break." Okay get your book bag I don't want you to be late for school." My dad said giving me a kiss on my forehead." Make sure to meet me at the church after school okay?" My dad said." Okay dad gotta go love you!" I said at the door.

While walking to school I saw Jackson I slowed down a little so he can catch up with me." Hi." Jackson said." Hey, soooo did you do miss lasto's homework?" I asked." Ummm yeah."he said." Do you want to come to church with me?" I asked quickly." What you said." He asked confused." Would you like to come to church with me?" I said slower." I'll check with my uncle first." He said." Cool. So what school did you go to before you came here?" I asked." I went to Sampark middle, but I got arrested and kicked out of school for have a whole bunch of drugs in my book bag." He said."oh, so how come your here aren't you suppose to be in jail or something?" I asked."well I was but for some weird reason I didn't, they still put the things I did on my record and gave me a probation officer, but it like someone gave me a second chance."he said. I smiled at Jackson he was confused and didn't understand who did all this for him, I know God did it all." It was God. He was the one who gave you a second chance, just like when he sent his only son Jesus to die on the cross for us." I said happily." You should come to my church youth meetings there fun and you learn something though the whole lesson." I said." Sure I'll come, when is it." He asked." Every Friday." I said with a bright smile.

We finally reached the school and since we had first period together I just kept telling him about God and how he loves him and wants him to do the right thing. He asked questions and I answered them without hesitation, then when I came to my sixth period Emily (* jasmine best friend) said she wanted to talk to me about something important." Hey, you finished the homework?" I asked." Yessss" Emily said annoyed." So are you sure your not going out with the new kid cause me and Mya saw you and talking all the way to school." Emily said all interested."NO!!were not going out were just friends." I said a little upset." Sorry, just askin." She said.

After school was over I went to church little my dad told me too and I brought Jackson along with me."dad!! I'm here." I yelled." Hey honey there's a special youth meeting so hurry and go to the basement." He said on the stage. My dad noticed Jackson and got off the stage to personally introduced himself." Hi you must be the new boy jasmine told me about, what'syour name son?" My dad said while shaking his hand." My name is Jackson. Jackson Simone." He said nicely. I felt like today is a good day, we had no homework, and now Jackson Simone is at my church things couldn'tget better." Okay dad we got to get going." I said in a hurry." Okay have fun, it was nice to meet you Jackson." My dad said going back on the stage. We finally made it to the youth meeting but we were a little late because of the walk to the basement." Hello jasmine thanks for coming, I see you brought a friend." The youth group leader, page said excitedly." Yes, his name is Jackson and he's new to my school this year." I said happily. After page greeted everyone we went to our youth teacher's, I told Jackson to go to were the boys are heading while I go with the girls." Hello ladies, we are going to talk about relationships through Christ." Page said." Everyone should already know god doesn't want any fornication between you and a men, he wants you to get married first. But you must be in love to get married, you can't be forced but God will tell you one way or another that this is the guy for you. And remember that god wants all your attention on him, you girls are beautiful and young you guys have a life ahead of you so in the meantime just give the glory to God." Page explained. After the bible reading and asking questions about the lesson, we played a game about the lesson with the boys then we prayed." Jasmine can you lead us in prayer." Mr. Romenz said." Okay, head's bowed and eyes closed." I said happily." Dear heavenly father, thank you for this amazing lesson. I ask you to bless page and Mr. Romenz for taking the time to teach us about you lord, I ask you God to bring us safely to our homes. And be with those who came for the first time, and the rest of us. In the name of Jesus I pray, Aman. After the meeting we got chip's and soda, huged, then left. My dad parked by our house and Jackson walked across to his but I went to talk to him before he went

"Thanks for coming." I said nicely." No problem, it was nice." He said." Well I'll see you at school or in our case, when were walking." I said while leaning towards him to get a hug. We then went to our house for some reason I was so happy, after I got in side I took a shower then put some sweat pants and a tank top then went to bed. Can't wait for tomorrow.
