Jerome Pov
We been about 3 month into school now. Its seems easy as fuck, way too much homework though. Willows been over every other day at 4 to help me with shit. Some days she or I don't need help so we just chill. She be needed that since the funeral. I know that's hard for her she even broke her leg so I help her around school with shit.
I hear I knock on my room door. "COME IN!" I yelled. They ass never knock I don't know why they doing it now. But it wasn't one of the guys walking in it was Willow.
"I know it's not 4 or the week I'm suppose to come I just need someone to talk to...I probably should of texted. I mean I'm sorry I'm just..." Her voice started to crack like she was about to cry. I ran over to her and grabbed her crutches and held her hand to led her the bed. She sat down and I sat next to her.
I let her cry in my arms. I was trying to think of something to say but nothing was really there. I mean her ex died right next to her what Ima say something to that?
"You hungry boo?" I mumbled in her hair since she was still on my wrapped in my chest.
Her face sprung up so damn fast and she started wiping away the tears. "You got food! I haven't ate in YEARS!!" Her whole face was lite up.
I started laughing which made her give me a lul smile too. "Yeah c'mon I'll carry you to the kitchen and cook for you."
She let me pick her up while she held her crutches and we was off to the kitchen. I put her on the island and sat the crutches on the stool. "Whatchu wanna eat?" I asked her while she played in her curly hair.
"Humm it don't matter I like everything well expects eggs...eggs are yuck." She said and stuck her tongue out at the last part. I chuckled and nodding.
I pulled out pork stake, broccoli, corn on the cob, and potatoes. I figured since it 5 everybody should be home soon so I might as well make a meal. I looked over at Willow and her fat ass was drooling so I started cracking up.
"Um what's funny?" She said with a attitude which made me laugh more. "SO YOU JUST GONE KEEP ON LAUGHING AND NOT SAY WHATS FUNNY I WANNA LAUGH TOO DAMN!!!" By now I was on the floor dying gasping for air. She started pouting then jumped off the counter.
"Whatchu doing girl you crumbled." I said getting up from the floor.
"Its crippled dumb head!" She yelled hopping on one leg to God knows where. I heard a big bump signaling that she feel. "COME GET ME UP NOW!"
I laughed and walked over to her. She extended her hand out and as soon as I grabbed it I feel right on top of her. "Ahhhh I did not at all think this through." She yelled from underneath my chest. I sat up in push up position, my face inches away from hers. I was just about to say something until I heard a voice above me.
"Man don't get caught up." I looked up and heard Tyrese say as he walked into his room.
I guess this made Willow mad because she pushed me real hard off of her and used the island as support to help herself up.
Willow's POV
Jerome and I sat in his room eating dinner while watching Broke Ass Game Show. I swear I love this show but yet my mind was so filled with other things. "How come you always let me stay over so late? Doesn't your girlfriend come over or something ?" I took my eyes off of the TV to ask Jerome.
He put his fork down and looked at me. "Naw...uh she ain't really allowed to come outside. On rare occasions she'll sneak out to see me but usually she waits til her Mama goes outta town then her older sister watches them and lets them do whatever they want. But ever since the cops busted her for that party I've only seen her at school."
This was the dumbest thing I've ever heard but before I could ever voice my option I gotta text.
*Text*
My Nightmare: Come out now...I want you.
"Um...I...I gotta go Jay uh I'll see you at school Monday?" I asked rushed to put my shoe on.
"Yeah yeah slow down lemme help you." Jerome said grabbing my crutches for me. "You want me to help you down the stairs.
By now I had my jacket zipped up and was crutching to the door. "No thank you I really have to go." And with that I hurried away.
