Last Night's Smile

Layla stared at the message..."What's this all about?!?!"
Layla called Courtney right away and old her everything.
"Did he call you?" Courtney asked.
"No...well not yet." Layla frowned, "So should we meet up at Carney's Caramel Apples?"
Courtney thought about it for awhile, "I guess...but were coming home at 7:30! I've got homework!"
"Of course! Come at my place at 6:30."
Layla said.
"OK bye." Courtney said.
Layla hung up.
"You going on a date?" Caityln said entering her room.
"Omg, Caitlyn stop freaking eavesdropping!" Layla hesitated.
"Its what I do, hun." Caitlyn chuckled, "So whose the unlucky guy."
Layla rolled her eyes, "Its not a date and why wouldn't he be lucky?"
Caitlyn smirked, "Whatever you sayyyy..."
Layla pushed Caitlyn out her room, "Leave me alone!"
Caitlyned snickered and left.
"She's such a bitch!" Layla said to herself.

"Dang, cute outfit Layla, you want to look good for your boyfriend!!" Courtney giggled.
Layla rolled her eyes, "He's not my boyfriend and its just an outfit, not even my best."
Courtney smirked, "Okaaay, Lil miss Luther!"
"Let's just go!"
The girls walked out the door, "Mom! Were going...to a friend's house, we'll be back at 7:30!"
"Ok bye honey and bye Courtney!"
Layla closed the door and walked to Carney's Caramel Apple Shop.
"What do you think he wants?" Courtney asked.
"I don't even know..." Layla sighed.
"Mystery!" Courtney laughed.
Layla smiled, "Sure...let's call it that."

The two finally got to Carney's Caramel Apple Shop. They saw a boy with dark brown hair that was gelled up...Luher and he had a boy with blue eyes and black gelled up hair also beside him.
Luther smiled in the distance. Layla sighed as she made her way up to Luther.
"Hey Babe." Luther smirked.
"Uhm...Hi." Layla said rolling her eyes.
Luther walked up to Layla and held her hand. Layla didn't want to admit it but she liked he feeling of a hand to hold...by a guy.
"So uhm...Courtney is it?" Luher said looking up at Courtney.
"Yep, that's the name." Courtney said all cheery.
"Ha. Meet my friend Cole." Luther smiled.
Cole looked up from his phone and waved. Courtney smiled and waved back, "Hey Cole, I'm Courtney."
Cole smiled, "Nice to meet you Courtney, love that name." He took her hand and kissed it.
Courtney blushed, while Layla tried not to laugh.
"Let's go inside, its kind of cold." Luther suggested.
All of them agreed and they all walked inside.

"Want anything Layla?" Luther asked getting ready to buy her anything in the world.
"Uhm...the Peppermint Swirl looks good." Layla suggested.
"Omg. That's the worst!" Luther exclaimed.
Layla glared at him, "Well then..."
Luther laughed, "I'm just kidding, and that is actually my favorite."
Layla was relieved, "Oh haha."
"I'll be right back." Luther said getting up to buy the Caramel Apple.
Layla smiled...maybe Luther wasn't as bad as she thought.
Layla looked over at Courtney. She was laughing and blushing as Cole told her jokes.
Layla smiled, she loved that her best friend was having fun.
Luther finally walked back to the table, he handed her, her Peppermint Swirl Caramel Apple. He had another for himself.
"Thanks." Layla blushed.
"No problem." Luther smirked, trying not to blush.

The two talked and smiled at each other. Layla checked her phone and it was 7:27. She had to go.
"I enjoyed spending time with you, Luther." Layla smiled.
"I did too...I mean with you." He blushed embarrassed.
Layla giggled, and kissed him on the cheek.
Luther smiled and helped her from her seat.
"What a gentleman." Layla joked.
"My pleasure your majesty." Luther played along.
Courtney came beside Layla waving at Cole.
"Let's go!" Courtney said sadly.
"Ha ok." Layla laughed, "Don't worry, we'll see them tomorrow."
Courtney smiled, "I knew that."
The girls waved to the boys and walked back home.
