Spencer P.O.V
The school day ended fast. Too fast. Because I knew what was coming after. An hour and a half later from now, I'll be sitting with Matthew.. on a date.
Shawn and I were going back to his place before I was going to go to see Matthew. He drove the jeep in silence and stared forward, not bothering to make conversation or anything. It's not like I wanted to. I was just trying to get myself together. I have a bruised jaw, and a date with my ex-boyfriend. It's not like it could get any worse.
We finally arrived to Shawn's after about 10 minutes, but another vehicle in the driveway took him by surprise.
"Shit.. Spence, my aunt is home." Shawn pulled in, and parked the jeep.
"There's a problem with that?" I ask him curiously.
"Well yes.. but she doesn't really allow of people.. I don't know how to explain it. But she's insanely strict."
Shawn leaned back in his seat and proceeded to talk to me.
"She barely let's me leave the house, and she definitely won't approve of me having a girlfriend."I shook my head and opened up the passenger door.
"She's not going to separate us. I won't let her. Don't worry we'll get through this." I smile and step out the vehicle door.Shawn and I walk together to his front door, open the door and slowly walk inside.
"Auntie?" Shawn yells through the house and a faint voice coming from upstairs yells back down.
"Shawn?" A girl peeks her head from around the corner at the top of the stairs.
"Lily!"
She runs down the stairs and toward Shawn with his arms opened wide.
"I missed you so much!" Shawn hugs her for a couple seconds then lets her go, smiling.
"I did too Shawn! But I'm gonna be staying here for a bit, so I can see you for longer." She smiled at Shawn, then looked over at me.
"Who are you?" She asks me with a confused look on her face.
"I'm Spencer, Shawn's..." I pause and look at Shawn, worried that he doesn't want me to admit anything to his family yet.
"She's my girlfriend." Shawn glanced over to me, and looked back to Lily, still looking confused.
"Why are you acting so weird? If she's your girlfriend, why didn't you just tell me instead of being so.. weird?" Lily looked from me to Shawn quite a couple times.
"Its just that it's, Auntie.. you know she's over protective. I'm afraid if I tell her, she's gonna be really angry." Shawn explained our dilemma to Lily, and she nodded, understanding everything.
"If I were you, I'd just tell the truth. You know she'll be more mad if you lie to her and she finds out." Lily looks at me and smiles.
"Thanks Lily, we appreciate it." I smile back at her, but a woman coming from down the stairs all grabs our attention.
I feel my heart drop to my stomach and my mouth go dry.
"Hi Auntie.." Shawn raises his hand slowly and gives a slight wave.
"Hi Shawn." His aunt reaches the final step and looks at all of us.
Her eyes land on me, then lock at the sweater I've been wearing all day.
Of course, Shawn's Obey hoodie..
"Shawn, who's this?" She glances at me, then gives a hard look to Shawn.
"This is Spencer," Shawn glanced nervously to Lily, and looked back up to his aunt. "She's my girlfriend."
"Girlfriend?
