Hey guys! Okay, so this is the sequel for Behind A Horses Eyes! Enjoy!
------------------------------------
-Cassia's POV-
I watch the bay yearling canter around the field. It feels strange that only last year he was born. He looks just like his sire, Elephant. He his his dam's markings, my horse. My horse is in the field with the yearling as he runs around looking crazy. His name is Truly Gifted or Gift for short. I call him Gift. We all do.
'Cassia? Are you still here?' I hear a voice behind me a spin around.
Nicki and I started off as enemies but now were best friends. And it's summer so I have six whole weeks with my three horses (Elephant was given to me seeing as he's the sire) and my new best friend. Nicki is smiling at me. She puts down the wheelbarrow she was pushing and stands beside me, watching Gift.
'How is he doing?' she asks. She doesn't need to say his name. Gift is the only thing anyone has been talking about around the here. The first foal born here in, well, ages.
'Fine actually. He's a bit crazy but what else would you expect?' I smile at him. Nicki sort of laughs and leaves me, saying she's got to feed horses.
The stable doesn't actually belong to myself or Nicki. It belongs to a woman called Linda. I remember I brought her to jail but we never talk about that. The past is over. Nicki stopped training with Linda and just helps out, really. She does ride though. She rides all the horses.
I'm going to be the first to ride Gift when he's old enough. I'll break him in, earn his trust and go to competitions on him. Show jumping, cross country, you name it. Well go to the Olympics...
I walk away from the field, away from my daydreams and into the stable block. It's pretty much empty apart from a few horses with their heads over the stall doors. I know my way around now. But the new stable block is harder to find my way around. Linda recently built the new stable block. One of the stalls is mad of the finest wood and there is a nameplate. In the nameplate there is flowers and a border carved. The name is carved in swirly writing. Must have taken ages to do. The nameplate holds the most important name ever: Truly Gifted.
Stand in front of the stall door, looking up at the nameplate. It's lovely, gorgeous, must have taken about... Two years. I reach out a hand and stroke the smooth wood stall door. It's perfect. I open the door. The lock slides open easily and inside the stall is brilliant. It's bigger then any stall at the stable - the biggest. There is a hay net tied up in one corner - the finest baby blue. A head collar is hung up in another corner, black with Truly Gifted in good lettering and gold edging. The lead rope is black, and feels soft just like the head collar itself. I exit the stall and smile, imagining Gift walking out of the stall, handsome in his saddle and bridle. Me leading him, wearing my body protector and helmet. I don't need a whip, who does? No, Gift would be the perfect horse.
I hear my name being called and Linda is walking towards me.
'Hello Cassia, how are you doing? I'm surprised you're not at the field with your, Erm, colt.' she says. I turn a shade of red.
'Oh, Erm.. You see...' she laughs, putting her hands up.
'Im joking. Anyway, someone called me just now looking for you. They told me to tell you they wanted to meet you, meet Gift. They've put in a pretty big offer for him... Three thousand pounds. The stable could do with that money, get some new stuff...' I look at her in horror. Would she really sell my horse... Like Keiran did??
'I said no. I told them he's not for sale. But anyway they still wanted to come and meet him. But I need your permission before I give them an answer. So what do you say?' she asks. I raise my eyebrows.
So someone gives an offer to buy MY yearling and even when Linda says no they still want to visit? Isn't that stupid?
'Ummm... Okay? I mean, okay, sure, why not. Tell them they can come any time. But when they do come keep an eye on Gift. I have a feeling they might try and steal him...' I say. I leave Linda standing there and go back to my spot by the fence. Gift has lay down to rest by my horse who is eating grass. I whistle and my horse trots over, Gift following.
'Okay Gift. Someone is coming to see you but they'll never take you, I promise,' I say. I pat both of them, enter the field and sit down, just watching their every move.
Horses are so beautiful. Everything about them. The way they move, the way they think, I just love them. And watching my horses now I can honestly say... I Love My Horses.

First chapter done! Do you guys like it so far? Comment, vote and tell me what you think. :) I decided on a colt called Truly Gifted for no reason. LOL.
Anyway, I'm not really in the mood for writing even though it's summer and that. I dont know why, I just randomly don't have any energy. But anyway, keep smiling! I hope you like this book!
