"Abuses me" I said breaking down in tears.

"Why wouldn't you tell me Ellie" he says pulling me into his arms.

"I was scared what he might do to you if he ever found out" I said still crying into his chest.

"We need to do something about it" he said about to get up.until I pulled him back down.

"Kalin he said he would Kill me and my mom if anyone found out" I said more tears coming out.Kalin hushed me and stayed there comforting me.

"Kalin I don't know what to do"  I said letting more tears flow.

"its ok everything will be ok" He said placing a kiss on my forehead. He began to hum a tune it soothed me I soon felt my eyes getting heavier and then I was out like a light bulb.

My eyes flutter open i am in Kalin's room. I tap around the bed and find my phone.I had 5 missed phone calls and 10 texts. All from my father.

Where the hell are you if you don't get your ass back home now I'm going to beat you harder than I have before. Read one of them the others were along those lines.I was scared out of my mind what is he gonna do to me is all I could think of. I walked out of the room and headed down stairs Kalin was watching a movie.

"Kalin uh I gotta go home" I said on my way to the door. I didn't want him knowing that my dad came home early. I reached for the door knob but was stopped by Kalin.

"Why I thoght you were gonna stay the weekend"

"Ugh Um i just think its best if i go home" I said nervously.

"Ellie whats wrong"

"Nothing Kalin I gotta go" I snapped pushing him away from the door and leaving (TBH I forgot if she came in a car or not so.....)
I got in my car and sped all the way home. I walked in my heart pounding. I ran up to my room. I heard the front door open and my dad scream. "WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU" I wasn't risking getting hurt I just stayed in my room. My door busted open and he came charging at me . He hit me and hit me and hit me till I fell to the ground then he kicked me over and over again then everything went black.

I woke up still on the floor sore I could barely move. I crawled to my bed and I checked the time. It was 12:00 pm Sunday afternoon. Kalin had texted and called me multiple times.

"Why did you leave"

"Are you ok"

"Call me when you get the chance". They read

"I just had to leave I'm fine" read the text I sent him. Be responded almost instantly.

(K- KALIN E-ELLIE)

K- Do you want to come over later?
E- I don't think I can my dad came home early
K- ARE YOU OK DID HE DO ANYTHING
E- I'm fine it's nothing he hasn't done before
K- Do you want me to go over
E- K he will beat my ass more than it already is
K- I'm just worried are you sure
E- Yes I'll see you tomorrow.
K- No I'm coming over
E- If my dad catches you he's gonna beat our ass
K- I won't let him lay one hand on you
E- Ok whatever
K-Addy?
E- *random address*
K- I'll be there in ten

I went to the bathroom to clean myself up I washed off all the dry blood and re did my hair. Then I changed into sweats and a sweatshirt to cover the bruises. Kalin texted me to tell me he was outside. I brought him in and brought him to my room. "Are you ok" KALIN asked worried. "Yes I'm fine"
"Let me see"

"See what?" He grabbed my hand and slowly brought the sleeve up revealing my bruises

"I'm sorry "

"For what" I asked confused

"You shouldn't be going through all of this"

"Well I am"
He pulled me in for a hug rocking me back and forth I flinched a little at first but settled into the hug.

"Thank you Kalin "

"For what?" He questioned

" Being here for me giving me a chance" I said looking into his eyes

"I'll always be here for you" he said then kissed my fore head.

My dad bursted through the door and screamed
"Ellie WHAT TGE FUCK ARE YOU DOING" I pushed Kalin away. My dad came lunging at me I closed my eyes and tensed up getting ready for the impact but before he could hit me Kalin jumped in front of me. "DAONT LAY A FINGER ON HER" KALIN screamed. My dad swung at Kalin but he dodged the punch and swung back at him he kept punching him till he was unconscious. "Pack your stuff your staying with me" KALIN said I quickly packed my stuff up I ran to my mom's room and she was laying on the ground blood surrounding her I collapsed to the ground crying. Kalin ran into the room comforting me "Shhhhh it's gonna be ok everything will be ok" He comforted me. The cops showed up and my dad is under arrest for abuse ,assault, attempted murder, and murder. Kalin loaded my things into his Range Rover and we were on his way to his house. When we got there his mama Star was home. "HONEY WHAT HAPPENED ARE YOU OK" she said as she rushed over to me.

"I'm ok now" I sniffles and half smiled at Kalin.

"What happened" she asked still concerned.

"It's a very long story" I sniffled I went on and told her everything that happened.

"Oh honey your welcome to stay here as long as you like" she said pulling me in for a hug.

"Thank you" I said
