Skye pulled on the hem of her turquoise sweater, which came down to her knees, as she nervously entered the subway car. She didn't like being around people, she wasn't used to it. She was always the person who sat alone at lunch, worked alone during group projects, and never went to parties. She just felt... unsafe... around people. She enjoyed being alone, where she could think what she wanted without being judged. So here starts the story of a wallflower.

Skye pulled at the hem of her turquoise sweater, which came down to her knees, as she nervously entered the subway car. Her black heels clacked from concrete onto the metal floor of the car. She looked aroud for an open seat, but found none. She stood in the middle, hanging onto one of the poles.

"This is going to be a long ride..." she thought nervously. She hated being around people for long periods of time.

She clung tight to the pole as the line of cars pulled out of the station. In all honesty, she didn't know where she was going, all she knew was that it's somewhere in Manhattan.

"i'll recgnize the name..." she muttered.

About an hour later, she was getting tired of standing. She hated sitting in public places, but it was the only choice she had. She sat on the hard plastic seat and cringed a little, as the seat was warm. She got used to it after a few minutes. She pulled her hair into a ponytail and couldn't help notice a guy eyeing her a few seats down. He was cute, brown hair and light skin. He was staring now, and Skye couldn't help but look over at hm. He smiled softly, and she returned it.

After a few minutes the train came to a stop. Central Manhattan. This was her stop. She got up and tried to regain her baance, dizzied after sitting for so long. After she got out of the subway and back onto normal ground, she almost fainted. Manhattan was a lot bigger and more crowded than she expected. She stumbled back, but felt strong arms catch her, spinning her around. Their eyes met for a split second and she already knew who it was.
