I Lost My Voice- Niall

So, I'm back and I realized that it's been over a whole month since I last updated this.... Sorry 'bout that. But here's a one-shot prompt by cadymn. Enjoy!

Niall's POV

"Nobody can drag me down!" Mine and my bandmates' voices rang out over the crowd in front of us as we finished our latest single. Immediately after, the screams of our fans hit our ears. I was smiling, though it wasn't entirely real, since I was sick.I mean the fans do make me smile, but it's hard to smile when your throat is hurting constantly and you just don't feel right. The lads all know, but it seems like they think that it isn't a big deal. Yeah, they are trying to help, but I think it's more serious than just a little cold.

I shivered feeling a slight breeze pass over my uncovered arms. Meeting Louis' gaze, I glanced at him, giving him a look that said 'help', and he muttered a subtle 'later'. I sighed and watched the three beside me.

A few fans directly in front of me noticed my discomfort and asked if I was ok. I smiled and nodded reassuringly. They didn't look very convinced though.

Thankfully, we didn't stay on stage too long after. Stepping down the steps, we headed off.

When we arrived at a hotel we were staying at, I felt like jumping for joy while singing hallelujah. After walking into the room, I plopped down on the nearest bed and sprawled out. Feeling a warm hand on my forehead, I opened my eyes to see Liam standing over me. I subconsciously leaned into the warm touch. Before I knew it though, Liam removed his hand, drawing a slight whine from me.

"How are you feeling?" He asked.

"To be honest, like sh!t." I muttered.

"I'm sure you'll feel better in a day or two, Niall." He sighed to which I snorted.

"I'm pretty sure this isn't a cold or flu Liam." I retorted slightly.

"Let us just see how the next few days go, okay?" Liam pleaded. I nodded to him and closed my eyes, sleep soon overcoming me.
