You stared at the water. It looks so peaceful and quiet. Contrary to the raging feelings deep inside you. This day has been a long and exhausting one.

Eugene has told you his story with Juliette. Poor guy, you never knew that this once you've thought of as a guy made of stone is hiding deep pain in his heart. Maybe that's why he appeared so cold. To somewhat shield himself from further pain when it comes to love.

But then, why is he opening up to you? Does it mean that he trusts you? You don't know. With all these thoughts in your mind, you just felt tired.

Then because you felt so drained, you hadn't noticed that your head was slowly leaning on Eugene's shoulder. It feels so comfy and warm. You couldn't help but to slowly close your eyes and let yourself fall asleep.

Eugene's POV:

I felt her head touching my shoulder. I know that she's tired. I couldn't seem to figure out why I had to tell her about Juliette. I just knew I had to. She's the only person I felt comfortable with sharing my story.

Looking at her sleeping face, she looks so peaceful. I swept the stray hairs away from her face. She looked so innocent and pretty. Maybe that's the reason why I like seeing her all the time. I guess I kinda like her. She got my attention since day one. She looked so excited about work  and that kept me interested in her. Sometimes, she's loud. But sometimes, she's quiet. Making me wonder of what she's thinking in that pretty mind of hers.

Well, I couldn't just let her sleep in this kind of place. It will become colder if we stayed here. So I gently took her arms, wound them around my neck and carried her on my back.

Having her this close felt something different. Like every time I'm with her, I feel something in my heart. But I just don't know what it is. It's a strange kind of feeling.

Finally, we arrived at her apartment. I lowered her to her bed. Then I looked at her face.

The guy who you're gonna love is surely a lucky one. And I'm sure that's never gonna be me 'cause I'm too broken. You deserve much better.

Then I walked away. I turned the lights off her apartment and headed back to my apartment. With my heart feeling heavier.

A/N: Sorry it's short. But I hope you like it. Thanks for reading! :)
