Hi all!  This is my first story to post on here.  It's kind of roughly written (Ava's lazy!)... But yeah.  So I took the time to find people to play parts in it >w> it took me forever!  I hadn't thought of casting people 'till I decided to post it on here...Anyways.  The character Sebastian is played by Alex Pettyfer :)

 Chapter One

Behind the Palace Walls

Sebastian Amiel Thorick,  Prince of Azria.  That's who he was, what he'd always been known as.  And he was tired of it.

When Sebastian was little he would look at the children playing outside the palace walls and wish that he were there in the mud with them.  But of course that was impossible.   He couldn't risk getting his tailored clothes ruined, after all.  Now all he wanted was to experience a normal life for a while...and that is what he planned on doing.  He had it all planned out by now, of course.  With a few minor adjustments on the way, he could get away with it.

A knock on the door interrupted his thoughts.  Sebastian smiled grimly and informed the person he could enter.  It was his personal servant boy, Fazier.  He was a dark-skinned boy of around fifteen, with dark brown hair, and green eyes.

“I apologize for the intrusion, sir, but His Highness wants you in the throne room.” The familiar voice stated.  Sebastian sighed.  Frazier knew him well, so he was used to seeing the real Sebastian.

“Aw,” he whined slightly, “What did I do this time?  Frazier, did they find out about the missing vegetables in the garden?” he asked.  Frazier shrugged.

“No idea, truly.” He replied.  This was strange.  Normally the dark boy knew what it was about.  Sebastianwassilent, but nodded.

“I guess I shall have to go.” He muttered.  It’s not like he could ignore a direct order from the king. He wrapped one of his fancy robes around his shoulders with a sigh, and followed Frazier down the flight of stairs.  Oh, did he hate these stairs.  Every time he walked down them anymore, something would be at the bottom, needing his aid.  Most of these were things such as:  “My crop isn’t growing!”  or, “My pet cat is missing!” all ridiculous.

Sebastian reached the bottom, where his mother stood waiting.  She was young looking for her age, but not without a few flaws.  Her hair was long and dirty blonde.  She had peach skin with rosy cheeks.  When she smiled, the skin around her grey eyes would crinkle up.

“Sebastian,” she said with a smile.  “Your father has something of great importance to discuss with you.” He suppressed the urge to roll his eyes, instead following silently.  Finally, they arrived at the throne room.

“Sebastian,” his father said with a smile.  “I have summoned you here to discuss with you the situation you are now in.”  Sebastian stayed silent, but his mind was now swirling.  Situation?

“You will be turning eighteen next October,” he said.  “Do you understand what this means?”

            Sebastian shook his head.

“When you turn nineteen, we will be turning the throne over to you.” His father stated.  “And it is tradition that every prince is married by that time.”

Sebastian found himself wince.  He knew absolutely nothing about marriage.  He’d never even had a girlfriend.  He really wasn’t all that interested in it…though he often flirted with the maids; that was all in good fun.  Nothing serious enough to draw attention.  And now he had to get married?

“Don’t panic,” the king said, chuckling,  “You have around two years.  We won’t force it on you unless it becomes necessary.”  Sebastian was panicking anyways, but he gathered himself up enough to form a simple response.

            “Yes father.”

He was eventually sent back out.  Sebastian had a little less than two years to disappear.  He would return, of course, he had to.  And when he did, he would be a much wiser man.  Sebastian ran up the stairs.  He had put this off too long.  Tonight was his only chance.  From now on, there would be people flooding the castle trying to match him with their daughters or sisters…he searched through his drawers for a coin pouch, and threw a bunch of gold pieces inside.

            “Sir?”

He looked behind him to Frazier, holding out a dark cloak.  A smile spread across his features.

“Thanks.” He said sincerely, taking it and hanging the pouch around his neck.  He gently picked up a chain with a golden ring on it.  It had belonged to his grandfather, who had told him stories about the real world.  It was given to him on his fifth birthday…not much later the old man had died, leaving the present as Sebastian’s only connection to him.  He hung it around his neck as well, tucking it into his white shirt.  Time to go.

Sebastian looked out his window into the darkness with a grin before running over to the door.  He waved at Frazier.

“If you need me,” he told him, “Just follow the north trail.  I’ll be in one of the towns along there.” He winked and left the servant alone in his room.  Soon the boy would run and tell his parents a fake story about how he had entered the room and Sebastian was not there.  He’d suggest they search the south, reminding them that he had always wanted to go that way…

The blonde prince covered his hair with the dark hood.  Now it was time for the difficult part.  He walked past the guards smoothly, acting like any other commoner.

            “Halt.”

His heart skipped a beat, but he obeyed.

“Something wrong,  sir?” he asked, putting on a fake accent.

One of the guards got closer.

“Name and business.” He said.  Sebastian gulped.

“…Amiel.” He mentally smacked himself for using his middle name in his panic, but stuck with it.   “I’m leaving after being in my lord Sebastian’s presence to ask for assistance.”

They were silent for a moment.

“Pass.” The other said bluntly.  And he was out.

RAWR~ and so chapter one is finished.  This is really just an experimental story… I can’t wait to see how it goes :).  Vote? :D
