I was running. My lungs were stinging, it felt like a thoundsand tiny needles in my chest, but I knew I had to keep going. I stumbled over something, I don't know what though I didn't have time to look, I just kept going. I leaped over a fence I was out of the backyards now and on the main street. I could hear the metroid just a few yards behind me with its big metal feet clanking on the ground. I could see my destination. If only I could get into position I could activate the ion beam, it would tear that metal head to bits. I just had to make it first. Even though I could see it, it felt like a mile away. Finally!. I was in position I just had to wait for that metal behemoth to get into position. If I activated the ion beam to early the metroid might survive, too late and I might not. i only had to wait a little longer before i could flip the switch. once i did there was a flash of light. It blinded me for a short second and when i got my sight back all i saw was a charred spot and chunks of metal everywhere. I then pulled out my stopwatch ten minutes and thirty seven point nine seconds. Dang. if i would of cut through West Street i could of beaten my record. I stood there for a moment before I realised I still needed to get a shower before I went to school so I found the closest door and put the skeliton key in and turned then steped through, I was now in my room. I droped down on my bed and looked at the clock, seven'o'eight, Im still not used to the whole time moving diffrently thing. After I rested for a second I grabbed my clothes and hopped in the shower.
