twenty fourth of may
ten years later

    another beautiful day in daegu with clear skies and flowers blooming along the groomed gardens of the city.

    a relaxed breath of fresh air was considered to be hard to get these days after long hours of work joohyun had teaching to elementary children.

    days like this, bright and clear, she tended to go to the park and write in her journal. a journal that she found in her locker a decade ago with some of the pages torn out.

before having a chance to start on her entry, she heard a little scream then a bump along with it. past the playground was a little girl blowing on her knee.

as if it was her duty to care for the child, joohyun rushed towards the hurt girl while searching for a bandaid in her side purse.

"are you alright?" she asked the little girl after she managed to clean her small wound. the girl in front of her did not speak but just nodded her head.

"joohyun?" a slight deep voice called out with anxiously.

the little girl got up and ran to the man calling out her name, "appa!"

joohyun turned around to the daughter and father that reunited after a short time. but the man in front of her looked familiar.

"kim taehyung?"
