I woke up the next morning to Karina crying. I sighed. I knew it was around 7 in the morning because that's when she usually woke up. I silently rose, noting that Khalil was still asleep next to me. I threw on a oversized tshirt and walked to her room, getting her ready.

Usually in the mornings, she'll wake up hungry and wet, so I'll bathe her and feed her, then she'll get food tired, so she'll go back to sleep, whereas I won't be able to sleep because once I'm awake, I'm pretty much awake.

So, after she went back to sleep, I showered and dressed in something comfortable, a loose halter top and leggings. By the time I got dressed and started cooking breakfast, Khalil had woken up. I smiled at him as he walked in.

"Good morning." I said, getting ready to grab a plate for my food. "Hungry?"

"Nah, I gotta start getting ready I woke up late." He groaned, getting a glass of orange juice and drinking it. I nodded, plating my food and sitting down and eating. I wasn't going to bring up last night , mainly because I was afraid it was nothing to him.

When he finished his juice, he walked out without saying anything and then I heard the shower running. I sighed. I knew he would act like that.

Just like he acted like nothing happened, so did I. When he came downstairs, dressed from head to toe, I was sitting on the couch, watching tv. Well, I wasn't watching it, but it was on and my eyes were on the screen. Have ya'll ever done that?

"What you gone do today?" He asked, sitting next to me and sliding his shoes on. I shrugged, biting my lip and looking at him.

"What I always do. Clean, take care of Karina. If we need something, I'll go get it." I replied. "What you doing?"

"Go take care of some business." He replied, shortly might I add. Am I surprised? Nah.

"Okay." I rolled my eyes, mentally kicking myself. I don't even know why I'm upset. I knew this would happen.

"What?" He scuffed once he caught my attitude.

"Nothing." I replied, shaking my head and shrugging.

"Aight, well I'm gone. I'll see you later on." He stood up, leaning down and kissing me, which caught me completely off guard. I kissed him back and he pulled back, a smirk on his face.

"Aight, be safe." I replied as he made his way to the door.

"Always." Was the last thing he said before the door closed behind him. I sighed, biting my lip. I couldn't get too excited because he was always doing this and would come home after two days with hickeys on his neck.

What am I gonna do with this man?
