Harry Potter x Girl Meets World [faya x rucas]

I'm not into LOVE for this book, this is a friendship book so I might HAVE to make it rucas since hermoine and ron got together, but ONLY IN ONE CHAPTER!

I don't want this to be a love story. & i might do one chapter where either maya gets together with josh or someone else thats mysterious. 

otherwise, don't except everything to be lovey dovey and enjoy!

=Riley's POV= 

[PARTS OF THIS WILL BE DIFFERENT FROM HARRY POTTER!]

"I'm so nervous!"

I devour my bowl of cereal covered in a thick, cold layer of 2% milk and let the cold liquid splash all over my face. 

I stare at my parents and wipe my face, waiting for their reply.

"What should I say?" father asked, looking around the table. I roll my eyes, he really doesn't get girl--women. "I got it!" Finally! "Is this about your Hogwarts letter that hasn't arrived yet, Riley?".

I shake my head into a nod, moving my eyebrows to make them look nervous. 

The hairs on the back of my neck stand up.

"Honey, patience is key to life."

I nod, "Your father and I will be so happy when it arrives and it says you are in Ravenclaw, just like your past non muggle ancestors, such a shame we're muggles." (Ok, so in this book, imma make it so u can change houses if u prove u r worthy.)

"I am totally going to be in Ravenclaw!" I chirp, ignoring the muggle part, "I love my academics and am so set for it!".

Mother grabs the pot off the stove and waves her hand. Plates fly out of the dishwasher and the eggs float from the hot pan and onto the plate.

"Are you supposed to be using magic, mother?" I do a little laugh.

"If I can, I will! Use what you have, honey bunch!" She does a little laugh.

I nod, "Yes, but not to make life easier."

"Well, I try not to follow the rules. You know what they say, "---"

I cut her off, ❝A life without rule breaking, is a life unlived.❞

"Um...yes," 

I look at my watch and stand up, running to the chimney, waiting for my letter.

ι awoke realizing I kicked off all my blankets, typical Maya.

"Maya, I need to talk to you," my dad said, popping his head in my bedroom door, I reply with a simple nod and exit with him.

He sits me down at the table, and folds his arms on the table, "What's going on, father?" 

* In this book, Maya doesn't know she's a wizard *

"Something arrived this morning down the chimney, and I now think its the right time to explain it," he stares at me.

"What is it?" I ask confused.

"I'm a wizard in Hogwarts, a wizard school with four houses; Hufflepuff for the loyal, Slytherin for the mischivious, Gryffindor for the brave, and Ravenclaw for the intelligent."

"Dad, are you feeling okay? Do you want me to buy some medicine, check your temperature, anything?"

"No, because I'm not lying, and to prove it, I hand you letter that slipped down the chimney by an owl." 

I grab the envelope, it is white and silky, yellow spots cover it. My fathers name is neatly written in green ink along with my address, I peel off the wax seal and open it, slowly slipping the neat paper inside out.

"Go ahead," my father said, losing his patience, "Open it..."

I do so, and read it, squinting my eyes.

I smile, I'm special for once, and for once, I feel special. My father's lips curve into a smile, happy that I'm happy.

"I can't wait to be in..." I think of what he described the houses, "Gryffindor!"

Fathers smile fades and his face now looks dark, dangerous, and angry.

"No!" he screamed, "You will be in Slytherin and like it! You might be brave, but you have that evil part inside you, though might be small, they can't risk it."

"So...I have to be evil?" He nods, "Is that what I want?"

"Silence! You had your time to choose the right words. Lets go shopping now."

=Riley=

"HONEY! HONEY! COME DOWN!" mother screamed. 

I stood up and yawned, stretching my arms and walked into the living room to see my parents holding an envelope.

"IT CAME!" I screamed in joy and ran to it.

I opened it and it was the letter that I was going to shop for supplies with Dumbledore. Yay!

*Later*

Dumbledore came to my house, (see different from movie), and I looked up to him. I brought a bag of stuff I need and he went up to a brick wall.

"You excited, chap?" he asked me, tapping the bricks with his umbrella that opens us up to somewhere else.

"Yep." 

"Sorry your letter came late," he grunted, "The owl who was assigned to give you your letter got sick, sadly."

"Oh, sorry. Is it better?"

"Yep! Luckily, one of my best friends is a doctor."

I nodded, "Good, good."

"Okay, first choice; animal," he pointed to the store, "Do you want a cat, owl, or rat?"

"Cats for sure!" I squealed, "I love them!"

I scanned through the choices and picked out a black and white one.

*MAYA*

"Cat, Owl, or rat?" my father asked.

"Cat! I l--"

"NO! You will get owl and be happy."

"Um...okay."
