[Chapter 7]

**Aleisha's POV**

     "Should we go help your mum set the table?" I asked trying to kill the tension that had just been created. "Uhh, yes we should!" Liam replied. We both walked towards the kitchen not saying a word, or even looking at each other. "Do you need help setting the table Mrs. Payne?" I asked. "Sure! And I've told you to call me Karen!" Li's mum said as she handed me some plates and cups. As I walked over to the table I realized how lovely it would be to have dinner with my family every day. I set down the plates and cups and watched as Liam set down the forks and napkins.

**Liam's POV**

"Everything is set mum!" I smiled as I told my mum. I also smiled at the thought of earlier I had really hugged her and she hugged back. That's a good sign right? My love for her had just grown so much and it hurt me to know that she felt like that at home. I needed to let her know I was going to be here for her. "Liam! Hello! Liii!" Aleisha snapped  her fingers in my face trying to get my attention. "What? Sorry I spaced out. Haha" I laughed trying to laugh it off. "Yeah, we noticed haha. Dinner is served!" Al said. I took a seat next to her, but hopefully she doesn't notice how nervous I am. My hand was kind of shaking as wrapped my fork around the spaghetti. Somehow I had managed to calm down. "Mmm. Karen this is delicious!" Aleisha said after eating some of the food. "Well, Geoff helped me!" My mum told her. Not to  brag or anything but my parents were pretty good at cooking, specially when they cooked something together. "Wow! This is good!" Aleisha said to both my parents.  "Aren't they good cooks?" I asked. "Yes they are! You should open your own restaurant!" Aleisha suggested. "Hmm. We would love to maybe sometime in the future!" My mum said.  "I'd be your number 1 customer!" Aleisha said. With that we ate dinner. "Time for dessert!" my dad pointed out.  "Mm. Great! What's for dessert?" I asked curiously.  "Nothing big just some home made apple pie sweety!" my mum cheered.

**Aleisha's POV**

     By the time we were done with dessert it was already dark outside. "I'll help you with the dishes!" I offered beginning to pick up the dirty dishes.  "No sweety it's fine! Geoff and I will take care of cleaning this." Karen said. "Are you sure?" I asked unsure.  "Oh yes! Don't worry about this!  We got it!" Karen reassured me. "Well I better get going it's getting late!" I said checking the time on my phone.  "You're right. I'll walk you to the door!" Liam offered. I walked over to Mr. and Mrs. Payne and shook their hands. "It was a pleasure meeting you! Thank you so much for having me for dinner, it was delicious!" I said. "No problem sweety! You should come more often!"  Karen said with a bright smile on her face.  "Yes! You should!" Geoff happily agreed. "Yes! That'd be fun! Well I'm out now! Bye!" I said following Liam to the door as they waved goodbye to me. Liam decided to take me all the way to the car. Aw he's so cute. I mean what? Stop Aleisha. Stop thinking about him. You probably have no chance with him. "Well this is it! Thanks for the invite!" I said smiling at the ground. "No problem babe! Thanks for the ride and Starbucks! Haha." Liam said. Ahh. That laugh of his was jus asdfghjkl. And holy shit. He called me babe. I know he means it in a friendly way. But still. Holy shit.  "Ehh. Your welcome!" I said still smiling at the ground not wanting to look up cos I knew I was blushing like crazy.  "Well I should get going! It's late! Haha." I said opening the door of my car. "Text me when you're home to make sure you get there safe!" Liam said. Did he care about me? Nah. I bet he tells his friends that all the time.  I shouldn't feel special. For a moment we just kind of stood there. "Well bye Al!" Liam said going forward in my direction.  What was he doi ... Oh my god. He hugged me! He hugged me not one but TWO times today! I hugged back.  "Bye Li!" I said. As we backed up our faces touched and our eyes looked right back at one another. Those eyes of him were killers. I can't deny it. I like Liam. I really do. It's not just a little crush anymore. A sound of a car passing by the street startled us and we both just laughed it off. "Alright well bye for real this time! Haha." I said finally getting into my car. "Bye!" he waved as I backed out of the driveway. 

**Liam's POV**

I had hugged her once again.  It helped me prove once again that when I'm with her, everything feels right.  She's the one for me. But as much as it hurts to admit I'm not the one for him. What am I going to do?
