I parked my car and rushed into the hospital nearly getting hit by a truck in the process. The old guy honked his horn at me and I just kept going.

I burst through the hospital doors and began looking around until I saw a lady working at the counter. I scurried toward her. "Hi, I'm looking for Hannah Snowdon." I told her.

"Ah yes, she was admitted here about an hour ago." the lady said as her eyes scanned the computer. "Could you please tell me where she is?!" I began to raise my voice.

"Sir, Please calm down. She's in room 6." I never bothered to say anything else to her because I was already going to Hannah's room.

When I got there an older lady who looked similar to Hannah was just leaving the room closing the door behind her.

I reached for the doorknob and suddenly the older lady spoke to me.
"She's not allowed with visitors right now."
"What? Why not?"
"Because right now there are doctors in there trying to save my daughter's life."
I heard her voice beginning to break.

She patted my back and kept her hand there, walking with me toward the waiting room. We sat down and she looked at me, tears filling her eyes as she started to speak. "I'm Hannah's mother. I don't know what happened between you two, only bits and pieces of what Cora has told me bu-"

I interrupted her. "I never meant to hurt her. I didn't mean for this to happen. This is my fault, I'm so sorry." I choked out.

She sat next to me and rubbed my back. "This isn't your fault. This could've happened to anyone. You made a mistake, you're human."
I just stayed silent and cried quietly.
"Hannah's been through a lot, you were there for her when she needed a friend. I don't blame this on you, and I don't think she does either."

"She hates me." I buried my face in my hands. "She doesn't hate you. She'll be okay, and so will you." She got up and sat at the other side of the waiting room. "I'll leave you alone to rest now."

I looked up at her and nodded. I laid down across the chairs taking up all the seating space. I drifted off to sleep, feeling drained from crying.
