The memories wouldn't leave your mind and that was all you wanted to have happen. It pained you, and it broke you.

~back to the present~

Levi looked at you and turned on his car. "Tch So you're an emotional drunk. Quit crying it'll be fine." Levi told you. 'Only if you knew.' was the only thing you could think. You shook your head and wiped your eyes trying to straighten yourself out before speaking. "I'm perfectly capable of driving my self home. I'm not drunk by the way I just remembered something." You told Levi while you unbuckled your seat belt getting ready to leave. "You better buckle the fuck back up because I'm taking you home. Trust me just don't drive tonight let me take you home."Levi pleaded with you. You thought about it for a moment before leaning back in the seat and buckling up again. "Fine." you sighed. A terrible migraine you could tell was coming soon and you felt like shit. With that you decided to close your eyes. "Oi (y/n) what is your address?" Levi asked you after a while. You opened up an eye staring at him. "(Your address)." you told him. "Tch you don't live far from me brat." Levi said as he was carefully started driving. You started coughing feeling the need to get sick. "Oi hey you disgusting brat don't get sick in my car! I just cleaned it! Wait a few minutes. We are almost to your house!" Levi yelled. You just groaned and layed back. "Thanks for yelling you dickhead midget. My migraine is back." you told him shooting him a glare. "Who are you calling midget damnit. I'm taller than you." Levi stated. You cursed under your breath. Levi chuckled a little at that pulling into your driveway. "Thanks for driving me home." You said. Levi shut off his car and started getting out. "What do you think you are doing?" you asked Levi. "You don't think I'm an idiot do you? I'm not leaving until I know you are completely ok. Alright?" Levi told. You blushed a little getting out. "Alright I guess, but the place is a mess." You warned him while walking to your front door and going inside. Levi took ome quick look inside your house and then right back at you. "Tch how can you live like this?" Levi asked you. You glared at him. "It's not that bad! I haven't been able to clean yet." You yelled at him pouting. "Tch yea sure whatever. You go to bed I'm going to clean up this pig bin." Levi told you treating you like a child. "First quit being an asshole and insulting my home. Second what if I don't want to go to bed!? You can't make me!" you yelled at him sounding like a kid. He cocked his eyebrows at you and smirked. "You want to bet?" He asked. You stomped your feet to the ground and crossed your arms. He laughed and threw you over his shoulder making you squeak unprepared for his action. "Which room?" he asked you holding you over his shoulder. "Second door to the left." Soon after that he found your room and dropped you on your bed. You groaned grabbing the back of your head that hit the board of your bed. "Shit sorry. You okay?" Levi asked you. "Oh I'm completely fine. Not like I didn't already have a migrane and what not." you said sarcastically. "Tch brat." Levi said as he walked off.

"She is such a brat." Levi said to himself as he left the room to go to the Kitchen. He searched the cabinets looking for a cup as you layed in bed with your eyes closed and smile on your face. Once Levi came back to you with a cup of water you were fast asleep. He slightly smiled at you and headed back to your living room and sat on the couch.

You were having a magnificent sleep. Though only an hour had passed. Your dream was all sunny and bright until you heard it. The shots that were getting fired. Your comrades. The darkness. It was all happening once again. You laid on the ground bleeding out from your wound. You listened to the screams of your fellow friends and comrades getting tortured and hurt.

You screamed and sat up. Sweat was running down your face and your eyes were swollen red. Levi who you thought had left ran into your room at the sound of your screams and cries. "Oi what happened? (Y/n) are you okay? What's wrong?" Levi asked you in a panic, but you were hyperventilating and couldn't breath. Levi ran over to you and wrapped his arms around you pulling you into his lap. "Make it stop!" you cried on his shoulder. "They're all gone And it's all my fault." Levi squeezed you tighter and pulled you closer. "Shh it was only a dream. No one is dead. Its all alright." Levi assured you, but you shook your head at his response and continued crying. "You don't understand. It's all real. It was all my fault. It was my command. They all died and it was because of me." You told him shaking and crying in his arms. "Every night sice it happened it comes back and haunts me. I should have been the one to die that day. Not them. Despite the pain and torture they received they all stayed strong. I watched them all die though in front of my eyes. The blood pouring out of them. I can't rid of the image. Its burned into my mind. Every night." you told him crying harder. He rubbed your back and pulled you into him more and held you tighter. "Tch The world is a cruel terrible place. It took my brother and sister from me. We were all ready to march into war, but we had our own ideas on what we wanted. I told them that I would do it alone while they hid. They argued but finally agreed. I left them alone. I rode ahead to do what I planned, but I heard a scream. It sounded just like hers. I turned my horse back around and ran towards her scream. That's when I heard another and it was my brothers. Once I finally got to the scene I wish I could have ripped my eyes out and died there. I was full of rage though. I killed every last man that was our enemy that was standing right in front of me. There was about thirty and I killed all thirty of them. Once I turned around to look at them their blood was everywhere. Their body was pale. Their eyes were lifeless and it was all because I left them alone. I was suppose to protect them. If I would have kept them with me like they planned I would still be able to hear my sisters laughs and I would still be able to hear my brother nagging me. If only I never left them alone. The world is cruel, but the world is only cruel to the people who are strong enough to handle it. I hated myself after it all. Their screams still haunt my deeams, but that is what comes out of being a soldier. The world is cruel but your comrades fought and obeyed and wouldn't want you to sit here and pout of their deaths. They would want you to honor them in a way no one else would. It is hard, but you have to either go cold like I or be proud of their lives. You must honor them. This wasn't your fault I promise you." Levi told you. You quit crying and stared at him in awe of what he just told you. "Levi." he sighed and looked at you with his cold emotionless face that you now knew held pain and was broken. "Oi what are you looking at?" Levi asked you. "I would have never guessed that you went through any of that. Levi what exactly is your reasons on why you have to go to the hospital?" Levi gulped and just looked at you. "To make sure I'm still in good shape. It's a requirement. I have no choice." you nodded your head understanding. Levi lifted up your head and had you face him. You stared into his eyes and smiled. "You are such a brat." Levi said to you before leaning in and kissing your lips.
