Walking Forward to Go Back
By: Jenine Bufi
Watching him walk away,
Is something I can never bear.
Looking at him from where I lay,
The feelings just too much to compare.
As our memories flash before my eyes,
All I felt was agony
And all I heard was my unbearable cries,
Followed by my screams full of misery.
He continued to walk and then turned around
A smirk on his face,
As he looked at me on the ground,
Crying helplessly, hoping to get through this phase..
Hugging me tight with fierce force I might crack,
Whispering in my ear that he will come back.
