Chapter 2

Scott came back really late last night. He was out past his curfew, but Aunt Melissa already went to sleep, because she need to go to work tomorrow. I heard footsteps on the stairs so I quickly hid behind Scott's door and waited for him.

As Scott enters I slowly walk behind him, but before I could scare him he turns around and tackles me.

"boo...ouch!"
"wait Em what are you doing here?" he asked surprised. I thought I saw his eyes flash bright green, but I chose to ignore it, thinking that I was seeing things.
"I was trying to scare you, but you kind of ruined it. Can you get of me now. You're fat."
"I don't understand why are you here?"
"Sounds like you don't want me here." I said smirking.
"It's not that. I thought you were in LA working..."
"I'm here to take a break. I'll be here a while" I getting up and giving him a hug, which he returned.
"It's been so long" he mumbled in my hair. "I missed you"
"Me too. We'll talk tomorrow you have to go to sleep or your mom will kill me."

Laughing he revealed his smile that I haven't seen in a long time. "yeah I have school tomorrow."

"Five more minitutes....I'm tired"
"It's not my fault that you came home late last night. You shouldn't have been partying."
"I wasn't partying" He grumbled as he stood up in his boxers. I wasn't shocked because he always slept in his boxers. Scott like a brother, but I don't want to see him half-naked.
"Ewww Scott know one wants to see that.." I said covering my face with my hands.
"actually someone .....never mind" he blushed.
"Ohh scottie, you have a girl. I wanna know about her. Wait or is it a guy. Is it Stiles! Awww you guys would be so cute together." I said jokingly. They are the true OTP!
"No Emory, me and Scott would be bad together." Stiles said as he barged into Scott's room. "And besides Allison would kill me if I stole her boyfriend"
"Stiles!! I said and hugged him tightly. "I missed your sarcasm when I was gone."
"Thank you..." He said while he blushed "we got to go to school, Scott before we are late."
"I'm going to come too. I want to meet this girl named Allison" I smiled knowing that Scott has found someone that he cares for as much as his friends and family.
"No you're going to embarrass me. You always act like you're older than me even though we are the same age. You pinch my cheeks and talk about embarrassing memories."
"But you still love me, met you in Stiles' car" I rushed down stairs into Stiles' car. Stiles came shortly after with a huge smile on his face.
"We all missed you when you were gone, I'm glad you're back."
"I know. I am too" I said.

------At Beacon HS---------

On the way to school Me, Scott, and Stiles were catching up on what I missed. They seemed like they had fun, but they were hiding something from me. I didn't confront them,because I thought they would tell me eventually.

As we entered the school, I could tell all eyes were on me. I saw boys with their jaw on the floor. I saw girls whispering to each other, flushed. And I also saw people that gave me death glares. I hoped people didn't recognize with my sunglasses on, not yet at least.

It neared the end of today I have met some Scott's friends. I have know Lydia since I was little and it was nice meeting her. She hasn't changed, always the smart and dramatic one. Alison was nice too, but her last name sounded familiar. Anyways she was very pretty and I'm very happy for Scott. People occasionally tried flirting with me, but I chose to ignore them and put them down.

Scott told me about the lacrosse semi-finals tonight so me and Aunt Melissa were driving together. We got to game that was about to start and sat down. Beacon high was getting destroyed and Scott seemed like he was holding back. Me and my aunt cheered for stiles and Scott. I saw Allison talking to an elderly person and then she took his coat. I remember her telling me that her grandfather was the new principal so maybe that was him. I kept starting at Allison and I notice that she gave something to Stiles and Stiles quickly headed to the school.

Curiosity took a hold of me and I went to follow.
"Where are you going?" Aunt Melissa  asked.
"I just need to go to the restroom really quick" I lied quickly
"Alright hurry up, because the game looks like it's turning around"

My aunt was right someone from the crowd joined our side and was helping the team. His tackle and shoves almost seemed inhuman. Wait his eyes seemed like they were glowing green like Scott's were. When I went to look at his eyes again they were back to normal. Shrugging it off I went to follow Stiles again.

I searched the school and found nothing. I was about to leave, but I heard shouting and noises from the natatorium.  When I entered I was stiles carrying someone else In the middle of the swimming pool.
"Stiles what the hell are you doing." I screamed loud enough so he can hear me. I approach closer until he notice me. His face look shocked and scared.
"Run Emory run" he screamed as if my life depended on it.
"Why would I run and what's...." Before I could finish my sentence a creature jumped in front of me causing me to jump back. I fell to the floor because I was taken off guard.
"Run away before it hurt you" cried stiles, but I was backed it the corner and couldn't escape.

The reptilian creature slithered towards me blocking all my way of exits. It was the second day of my vacation and I am going to die at the hands of a monster, Great! Note the sarcasm.

I wasn't about to die today, but I didn't what to reveal my secret; it seems like I have to now. I can't let this creature hurt my friends and family or what's left of my family...

Closing my eyes I began to chant.

Wind and energy from around formed around me and pushed the creature backwards. I opened my eyes and I could feel the power through me, but depleting fast. I used the same spell again as it approached which sent it flying back. Since my magic was draining I had to let go of my shield. I slid against the wall and breathed hard. I haven't practice magic in a long time and it was draining.

The beast crawled towards me once again. I knew I couldn't cast another spell and thought I was going to die. Closing my eyes I tried to concentrate on my remaining magic. Tapping into what I have left I said one last spell
Ignis Incendium
Fire rose before me scaring the creature that was once fearless. It scurried away before my flames could burn it. Black spots clouded my vision as i tried to resist the darkness but it enveloped me in the end. Before I passed out I saw a human with brown hair and long claws and teeth in front me.He looked a lot like Scott...
