After a total of: six years, ten months, and three days. I am finally a free woman.

I was released early due to good behavior.

What now? Well my mama house sound like a good spot. Get cleaned up then I guess surprise Ricky's sorry ass...

I got dropped at county, but no one was here to pick me up. Which was kind of expected...
The visits stopped after the third year, stopped answering phone calls at the fifth.

I'm not mad, I know people just can't stop they lives for me. Atleast a phone call every month would be nice but i'm not tripping, it's in the past...

All I have is 50 dollars to my name but all that bullshit about to change.

I see a cab coming around the corner, I hurry and jump in before anyone else could.

"Northside high school please." I say to the Arabian driving the yellow cab.

"You don't look like you go to highschool." The man interrogates while looking at me through the rearview mirror.

I really don't have time for conversation right now.

"Northside high school please!" I say in a higher tone of voice, most people would say i'm yelling but that's not the case, I'm in a hurry and he's wasting my time.

*****15 minutes later*****

"Your total is 21.25" the man says while turning back to me.
He press the button to lock the door.

No this muther fucker didn't!

I hand the man the fifty and roll my eyes. "And I better get all my change back! Cause if I don't me and you will be fighting in this cab, and that's a promise." The man turn around and hand me change.

I sit right there in his cab and count out all my money he gave me back.

"I'm missing two cents!" I yell The man hurry and turns around.

"O-okay sorry ma'am." He grabs two cents out of the ashtray and hand it to me.

I roll my eyes, "have a nice day sir!"

I jump out of the cab and turn to the house right across from Northside high school.

I remember playing around in the school when I was little with my cousins, we got in trouble a few times, but that school was our playground nobody was going to stop us from going there, even the police.

I walk past the cars in the driveway and up the stairs to the front door.

I lift my hand to knock but something inside is holding me back...

Why am I afraid? This is home, this is where the people that love me unconditionally lay their heads every night.
This is where I was raised, Where I was born.

This is home.

The question still remains.

Amina, why are you afraid?

"Amina? Is that you?" The voice behind me freeze me to the core.

"Mama?" I turn around to see the beautiful lady drop her groceries and cover her mouth in shock.
"Mina! My baby!" My mother yells as tears fill her almond shaped eyes.

At this point i'm in full tears, the ugliest cry ever.

I run to my mother and hold her.
Embrace her.

My Queen.

White Diamond perfume fills my nostrils, my mother wears the same spray as she always have.
