School; the spawn of Satan in a building form. It was our first day back from summer and obviously nobody was happy. Except for the nerds but I wasn't happy. I woke up at 6 am just to come back to this hell.  I don't even know if my outfit looks good, I just know that as I pass these lockers for the last time my life, joy fills my heart and I cant help but smile. "Someone turned into a morning person during the two days I didn't see you?" My best friend, Carson asked and I laughed. She's honestly the only person I can stand in this whole school. "Ha never." I say as she joins me on the journey to first period. She's just like me, funny, weird but she's pretty. I've never thought I was beautiful, I mean a lot of people try to ask me to date them but I don't want to, they aren't genuine males, no one from this school is. She also has my last name and we knew since fifth grade that we were to be best friends.

"I heard our algebra teacher is super hot." She smirked and winked."Carson, why do you have to fall for all of the algebra teachers? Last year it was Mr. Johnson and the year before that was Mr. Carrington, and they were both married." I sighed, pulling on my left book bag strap. "So? Age is just a number and what if he wanted to have an affair?" She defended herself and I just rolled my eyes. "You think he wanted an affair when his wife and kids were all over his desk?" I asked, looking at her with my eyebrow raised. "Bu-" I stopped her. "Just get it through your head that life isn't like those 'Extra Credit' fan fictions." I shrugged with my arm wrapped around her shoulders and she sighed, pouting.

"It'll get better" I said with a chuckle and she lightly slapped my arm, laughing.

School went by somewhat fast and by the time I blinked, I was walking to my last period. All we were talking about in all classes is something you go through every year and luckily, this was my last year to sit through the shit. But in I walked into my last period, algebra, I knew Carson was right. I stared at the man who was standing at his desk, looking down at some paperwork. I gulped and walked quickly to where Carson was sitting before he caught me staring at his gorgeousness. I sat next to a smirking Carson. "Isn't cute at all, is he?" She asked and I rolled my eyes with a smile. "He's fucking sexy, alright." I whisper and she claps, throwing her hands in the air and doing a weird victory dance. "Stop, people are staring." I slapped her arm, laughing and Carson joined in.

"OK class, welcome to your senior year." His Australian accent made me smile. I was born in Australia and so was Carson but our Mom's moved together when we weren't even born yet, Carson's mom knew she was pregnant but my mom didn't and they moved here t get away from their shitty husbands. My mom dated one more guy and he got her pregnant only to give me a little brother.

Mr. Hood went on to explain where we go in case of a fire but all I could look at was him and then searched for a ring on his finger and when it wasn't found, I smirked to myself and sat back in my chair to look at his beautiful face once again
