I quickly walked to the library, smiling at a girl in one of my classes. I sat down, put in my earphones and shut my eyes so I could relax for a while. After three consecutive classes I finally had a free period, which I took full advantage of - either by spending it in the library or socialising with the few friends I had.
I was barely halfway through the first song, when someone whispered 'Boo!' in her ear and i jumped. 'What the actual..' I whispered, remembering that I was in the library. Turning around, and seeing that it was one of the few boys in my school I could actually talk to, I rolled my eyes. 'Hi, Taylor' said Harry, in his perfect Australian accent. I felt a strange sensation in my tummy but ignored it and smiled at him. 'WHHYYYY are you in the library?!' He whispered.
'Because I don't feel like socialising'
'Oh my god, Tay, get up, we're going out!'
I followed him outside, shaking my head. Harry's worst enemy was the library. He hardly ever went in there on his own account. If you ever did see him there, he was always talking to people. Mostly me, and he'd text me later, 'look at you, making me go to the library.'
'Now what?' I said, putting my phone in my pocket and looking around. The weather was pretty nice and pleasant. 'Now, we do anything but go back there!' He said and we walked downstairs, as far as we could get from the library. On our way to the school canteen, Harry met at least ten girls. I awkwardly stood there while he had short conversations with some of them before proceeding to get ourselves something to eat.
I was so jealous of his ability to befriend people so quickly, especially of the other sex.
