buttercups and bitter memories

I sat up in a bed of buttercups. Rubbing my temples, I hoped to relieve this headache of mine.

"So you've returned once again have you, will you ever learn?" Chimed a voice I knew too well.

"I promise it will be different this time, Asriel" I called out to the flower.

"That's what you've said countless time beforehand. I'm tired of seeing things end the same, I'm sure 'he' is too"

"I'm not giving up, Asriel. I know I can change fate"

"Do you really think 'she'll' let you?" Asriel/ flowey asked.

"I-I have to try. I promised them a happy ending, Even if I don't get one, I will break the barrier"

I tried standing up only to cry out in pain. My left arm was broken and a deep gash in my right leg emitted a large pool of blood.

Just as I slipped into a state of unconsciousness I heard the faint voice of Toriel as she rushed to my side.

"Child,child can you hear me?"

"Momma......"
