Hello again. This chapter is kind of slow, but the story starts to pick up after this. I am still looking for suggestions for a cast and music videos for each chapter. also, i keep misspelling Mr. Abaddon's name, so sorry in advance for any mistakes. enjoy! ( if you don't, there is absolutely nothing i can do about it :)

Chapter 3: Life water

I stared up at the white ceiling of the nurse's office. Ugh. My head felt like it was on fire. The sudden blinding pain had caused me to puke in the middle of the auditorium. How embarrassing is that? And on the first day too. I groaned again. I would never be able to live this down.

At least I didn’t smell terrible. Luckily, I had yoga class this afternoon and had changed into my tank top and exercise shorts. I held my head. When I moved the pain was ten times worse. I slowly sat up; needing a drink like my life depended on it. Walking over to the stand, I took the glass and drank it in one gulp. Dang I was thirsty. I poured more water from the pitcher. I soon finished it off, but my thirst hadn’t lessoned.

I shuffled back to the bed. Is this a migraine? I hadn’t ever had one before, but Ester said this is what it felt like. Hmm. if it is what set it off? I thought over what happened before I puked. Ester was laughing, I caught Mr. Abaddon's eye, and the lights came on.

I’ve heard Ester laugh hundreds of times. So that can’t be it. Lights come on all around me. This is the 21st century for crying out loud! Locking gazes with Mr. Abaddon was the only thing that I hadn’t experienced before. But someone looking at you couldn’t cause you loss of breath and a splitting headache, could it?

Suddenly I heard someone talking with the nurse outside my room. Obviously, she didn’t want them to come in. I had heard their voice before.... Mr. Abaddon! What was he doing here? Didn’t he have a class to teach?

Their voices started getting louder, until I could hear the words clearly.

     "You are not qualified--"

"I am perfectly qualified.  I have a PhD in the medical field."

"I thought your PhD was in Science?"

"An individual can have more than one PhD madam. In fact, I have four." there was silence that I assume was from the nurse standing there in shock.

Four PhD's? Talk about needing to get a life.

      "May I enter now, madam?"

I saw the nurse's profile nod silently as she opened the door for my science teacher. He walked in, grimacing at the lights. He also glanced at the empty pitcher, not looking at me. He walked over, picked it up and filled it with water. I swallowed dryly in anticipation of the drink. I noticed he pulled out a clear flask full of swirling pink liquid. He poured exactly 2 drops in the pitcher. He then stopped it up once more and hid it inside his leather jacket.

What is that stuff? Then I saw the look on his face when he turned. He seemed worried.  Is it poison?!?

"This will make you feel hydrated." he handed me the pitcher and a glass. I filled it, looking at him to see if his expression changed. It did not.

"That stuff that you put in here, is it safe to drink?" he looked shocked for a moment. Apparently I wasn’t supposed to see the mixture.
