"WHERE IS YOUR LOYALTY?!" Soonyoung didn't restrain from shouting at Mingyu, even though they were all seated for breakfast and at least half the people in the hall looked as if they wanted to place an unforgivable curse on the pair of them right there. Quidditch, to Soonyoung at least, was possibly the most important thing in the world, so somehow knocking a few peoples ear drums out whilst he shouted about it didn't seem all that tragic to him. Jihoon, however, looked as if he wanted the ground to swallow him up as he listened to his friends practically scream over what he saw as nothing but a game. Soonyoung noticed Jihoon, who by this point was rubbing his temples, praying they stop, and broke into a laugh."Oh, come on, Jihoon! When are you gonna get into Quidditch?"
"Hopefully, never, if I were to end up talking like you idiots. But thanks for the offer." Jihoon replied as he reached for some more toast to put on his plate. Mingyu was laughing as well now and Jihoon couldn't help but shoot a death stare at both of them. "Aw, Jihoon that's a little harsh isn't it," Mingyu pouted, "we are your best friends after all." Jihoon sighed doing his signature eye roll in response to his friends. He didn't know how but the three of them had always been friends. Always. When they were sorted into different houses in first year-Soonyoung in Hufflepuff whilst Mingyu was in Slytherin-they were determined to not let that break them apart and, although Jihoon was sceptical, they had done pretty well over the past 5 years to stay close. "Speaking of what best friends are SUPPOSED to do," Soonyoung started, and Jihoon had to restrain from rolling his eyes yet again because god do these boys ever stop, "who's this guy you've been keeping secret from us?" Jihoon nearly choked on his toast when he said this. "Who on earth are you talking about?" Jihoon said, dumbfounded and still coughing up his toast. Mingyu laughed and patted his back, in an effort to aid his friend. "You know, the library kid? Gryffindor; dark hair; quite tall..well, compared to you." Jihoon wacked Mingyu at his last comment.
It'd been a little over six weeks since Seungcheol ambushed Jihoon's desk in the library and practically forced himself into Jihoon's life (well, maybe not exactly, but that was how Jihoon saw it). He'd learnt a lot about the boy, truth be told. He was a pureblood and had only joined Hogwarts in the 4th year, at the start of the preparations for their OWLs. He was similar to Jihoon in many ways; he was intelligent, forward thinking and determined, but Jihoon had to admit, he had a far sunnier disposition than himself and was definitely Jihoon's definition of an optimist. In truth, he didn't mind Seungcheol. Didn't mind him at all, really. He was restless, disorganised and could be incredibly annoying, but Jihoon couldn't honestly say he disliked it, no matter how many times he rolled his eyes or sighed overdramatically.
"Hello? Earth to Jihoon?" He heard Soonyoung's voice say as his hand waved in front of the smaller boy's face. "Oh, sorry. I was..thinking. What were you saying?" Soonyoung and Mingyu both eyed him suspiciously, before Mingyu continued, "Who's the new guy you've been seeing?" Jihoon could feel his face getting hot and was just about to tell him, crystal clearly, that he was not 'seeing him' and didn't know what on god's given earth he was talking about, when a certain Gryffindor practically threw himself onto the bench next to him. Jihoon jumped at the sudden intrusion, beginning to cough frantically on his piece of toast, once again.
"Jihoon!"
"SEUNGCHEOL! What the hell is wrong with you?" Jihoon choked out in between coughs, but Seungcheol ignored him. "I got an A on my potions test!" Seungcheol beamed as he waved a piece of paper in front of Jihoon. Jihoon just about finished coughing up his lungs, when he took the paper from Seungcheol and flicked through it. "That's good." He commented, looking through the pages. He grimaced as he came across a page that was covered in red ink, "I can't believe you got this wrong, we went through this like two weeks ago." He continued to scan the test and Seungcheol's face was adorned with a slight frown. "Do you mind maybe being a little bit more excited? This is the first pass I've ever had in potions!" Jihoon looked up to meet Seungcheol's eyes and laughed slightly. "I am excited; this is good and the mistakes you made weren't all that major. I just need to know what you got wrong so I can help you work on it."
