"Riley"
"Diana! I haven't spoken to you since this morning! How you doing baby girl!"
"Not great, Ben...he's moving away"
I try to hold back my tears as I can feel them start to form in my eyes.
"Come over. Now. I have a shitload of Ben and Jerry's. We can watch any movie you want, we haven't had a sleepover since forever and we need one tonight of all nights."
I make my way towards Riley's house and think about what just happened...Ben. He's leaving me. He's leaving the place we grew up together, he's leaving us.
As I walk past the park, I think about the amount of times we played there as kids.
"3...2...1...come out come out where ever you are" I say looking for my best friend, Ben. I run all around the park looking for him until I give up. "Okay I give up! Ben! You can come out now!"
Ben suddenly appears next to the tree that i swear I looked behind at least 10 times. "What...How?"
"Magic" he says to me, smirking.
"Magic" I mumble to my self letting my tears free. Luckily I'm not near Riley's house so I still have time to make it seem like I haven't been crying. Everywhere I look things remind me of Ben. Trees, cars, strangers, even the grass. That just proves how long we have been...were together. I remind myself, you're not together anymore, he chose university over you, he doesn't care about you, nobody does.
