After the storage episode, you and ray began to hang with each other more. You guys started to take more of the slower path as “Friends”, since he was still insecure about going out with a human…but you felt like there was more to him, than just an ordinary vampire, you knew that, that “thing” that was looking for him at the shop was not just looking to get its car fixed…it wanted ray. Every time you tried to ask ray about it he never tried to take the effort to give you a simple answer…it was always, “Ma I aint got time for questions right now”…or…”Im fine…just drop it.” Ray always putted up this wall of “Hard” when you knew deep inside he was scared.
You guys sat in his cave…well…..somethings cave. It was kind of weird, but if ray sleeps here then it must be ok…well wait vampires dont sleep, or do they? you thought. There were so many questions to be answered but all ray wanted to do was sit, sometimes you’d rather be with prodigy eating ice cream and watching some dumb movie about some guy trying to get laid. You sat there staring at him, as he did nothing but draw.
Ray looked over at you questionably, “What?”
“Oh…nothing, just chilling.” You lied. You started to play with your fingers as he went back to drawing. That bitch, doesnt notice anything, you thought. You sighed then began, “Why are you hiding?”
“No ones hiding, i just live in a cave.”
“Mhmm. Okay well im going to let you hide here…im leaving.” You got up, grabbing your hollister hoodie off the chair.
Ray quickly looked up, sitting his art tablet down. “Where you heading too?”
“Somewhere away from here….clear my thoughts.” you said. “Maybe prodigy’s free.” Haha!
“You need company?” Ray got up grabbing his domo hat, and shoes.
“Ohh nooo…you can just sit here and draw…me and prod like to do things alone…sometimes I wonder if hes single.” You teased a bit.
Ray didnt get the joke…he got serious. He quickly walked over to you, grabbing your arm, pulling you away from the caves entrance. “I dont want you hanging around him.” he said quickly. He grabbed your jacket, and threw it on the other side of the cave. “…..I dont trust him.”
You looked at him, “Prod could say the same thing about you….forget about the jacket, im leaving.” You tried to yank your arm from rays grip, but it didnt even budge..his grasp on you grew tighter. “Ow ray…youre…hurting my freakn arm.”
“Stay away from him please….I promise ill be more attentive.” Ray pleaded, as he looked you in your eyes.
“Well I wont go, if you dont tell me why are you hiding….”
Ray sighed, “Yo ass just dont give up do you………” he lead you to the mattress he slept on and pulled you down to sit. You obliged. “Wolverines are on the verge of wiping out all vampires so they can rule….theres only 3 left. Well there “was” only 3 left……..im left.” Your eyes widened as he told you this. “So here I am…hiding in a cave, while wolves or out there trying to find me, and soon kill me….happy?”
“No.” You began…”what if they find out where you live?……they could kill you….then Ill loose you.” You frowned, then stared at your feet.
Ray was shocked by what you said, he didn’t think a simple human would have such feelings for him, so much of even giving a damn about him. Some humans might’ve would of called the government on his ass, then they would identify him as an alien…..creeeeepy.
