What did you do this summer?: I flew to Las Vegas and rode the stratosphere rides

I giggle remembering how fun the reunion was and the rest of my summer. I really need to go see that really hot boy again. I smile super big for about a minute as I finish the "get to know you" paper that you always get at the beginning of every school year. I have a feeling this year will be one of the most exhausting years of my life. I mean hey 10th grade. High school. I get both an ugh feeling and extreme butterflies just from the thought that I am actually in high school. I am gonna get eaten alive. I lean back and slump down deep in my chair. My universal sign that I'm done with whatever and need something else to do ASAP.

I start examining the people I'll be stuck with for the first 25 minutes everyday considering I was too shy too before I was sitting down in my own little world. I get a small hope that my best friend, Peyton K Tucker, is in here. I scrunch up my nose in disgust when I remember that she texted me her schedule. We had one class together. ONE! How does this school expect me to live through three years here if I won't even have my bestie to help me through everything?

I see a lot of people that I "knew" last year. Greyson Chandler, Tatum Drew, Kennedy Avery. Ugh! Kadence Montgomery. Kill me now. I know that there are some wannabe's out there that would kill to have a A-lister in their main representing class but honestly I think.... No. I am a B-lister here at Jennifer Garland high. Just a small step behind Kadence which is possibly my reason for not liking her so much. The only reason I know her as I do is because last year this SUPER cute boy started a poke war with me (no not on Facebook) and it went on for seriously ever and it was the most adorable thing ever considering I had never said more than 25 words to the guy. But Kadence, who was at the time his girlfriend had to come and stop all the fun. Stupid reason for hating her I know but when I'm friends with everyone I get to be very selective over who I dislike.

I look around some more taking in everybody's over dressing in. Jaydan Fowler? What's up with the tux? This advisory could go either way with him. It could either be the best ever...... Or the complete worst.

Wait a minute? Who's the sexy blonde? There's absolutely no way. He lives in Saint George. It couldn't be...

Jeremiah Rees? What is he doing here? Auburn told me that Dresdin told her that his cousin, Jeremiah, lived in Saint George. I need to have a serious talk with that girl!

The thing I remember most about the amazing, gorgeous Jeremiah was the first time I met him in the summer. Auburn and I were hanging out outside because I had noticed the two boys jumping on the tramp at the house across the street. I made Auburn stay outside with me and think of things to do that showed off my skills so they would hopefully notice and make the first move (like that would ever happen).

Well as I thought, nothing happened. Auburn had figured out that the boys were showing off for us doing failed backflips. I for one thought it was completely adorable. Auburn had once had a thing for Dresdin so she really couldn't care less. She loved me though so she stayed out there with me helping me "long distant flirt". Kage, her incredible sexy little brother (I know it's wrong on so many levels but hey, I have a type!) came out to watch us flirt. He had no idea what was going on at first. That's not at all surprising considering we were doing cartwheels and splits on the front lawn while the sprinklers were on. "Do I even want to know?" Kage asked looking specifically at me and cringing as I tried to do a forward roll out of my right splits. "Kamryn's got a little crush," says Auburn gesturing to the boys next door. Kage looked at me with many expressions on his face. Flirty, confused, his normal you idiot, and... I'd never seen that look before and quickly categorized as jealousy. I have thought since we started going to school together that he liked me. We're very close so he's comfortable around me but one day he just seemed..... A little to comfortable. "Why don't you go talk to him then?" Kage asked a little more forcefully then I'm sure he meant it to sound. "I can't just do that," I said, ignoring the slight anger in his voice. "I have to have some sort of base to talk to him on." "Well then here I'll go start one," said Kage as he casually started walking over to the house with the boys. I quickly got up and ran in front of him. I held my hand in front of his chest but he kept walking until my hand was on his chest. "Where do you think you're going short stuff?" I said. "I'm gonna go talk to him for you," Kage said with a hint of a sly smile on his face. "Mmm no," I said. "Come with me, it won't be that hard to talk to him. Besides how badly do you wanna meet this kid?" I sighed and Auburn and I walked far behind him as he walked to the house across the street. As soon as he reached the sidewalk, Auburn and I bolted down the street. Kage just kept walking and we eventually we heard him say in a slow but strong voice," My sisters friend is.... interested in you." There was no way I would embarrass my self by talking to the sexy blonde I didn't even know. We ran around the block and when we got back we saw Kage sitting on the porch and the boys still jumping on the tramp. I was going to ask what had happen but before I could he yelled to the boys, " Jeremiah their back!" " Bring 'em over!" I heard from far behind me. I knew Jeremiah was the one who had yelled because there was no way Dresdin could have that sexy a voice. "There's no way I can get them over there," Kage shouted back. "You guys come over here!" "Kay!" Yelled Jeremiah. He and Dresdin started to climb off the tramp. "I hate you!" I half jokingly told Kage right before Auburn pulled me into the garage and then the backyard. We "covertly" look out the door to the garage and saw that the two boys were a lot closer than we thought. We ran back further into the backyard as Kage led the two boys into the backyard. As soon as both boys were a safe distance from the door and the ADORABLE Jeremiah was introducing himself to me, Kage locked us all in the back. I was feeling really awkward and trying to think of a way to save us all. I ran through the sprinklers remembering that there was a door into the house that Kage probably wasn't smart enough to lock. I ran through the house and unlocked the door. When I opened it Jeremiah was climbed up on the fence and looking over the top. I apologized over and over again. After a couple times he really knew we (or at least I) wasn't trying to kidnap him and said it was fine as he angrily walked back to his house. He was really annoyed and so was I. "What the hell is wrong with you?!" I yelled at Kage when I finally got over the feeling that my chances with him were, so to speak, officially over. As if they had ever even started anyway. He just laughed and laughed until he was literally rolling on the ground. I glared at him, hating the joy he found in this. They came back over for a little bit so I had the opportunity to explain what had just happened. He laughed and to my surprise, was totally cool with it. I loved that about him. It was such an adorable trait! They walked back to their house and continued to jump on the tramp. We went inside for a minute, my stomach flooding with butterflies. We ate some muddy buddies and they "lovingly" allowed me to talk and squeal about him for a good hour and a half at least. I finally couldn't stand the separation any longer and we all went outside again. They were still jumping on the tramp! Kage insisted we walk over to their yard and we could talk to them. I was if course reluctant but I soon ended up being dragged by both Kage and Auburn. Jeremiah saw us coming and got off the tramp to greet us but not before doing a double back flip. Such a show off, so adorable, butterflies, awkward smile, oh no...! "Hey," Jeremiah said when we all ended up gathered around the white fence. "Hi," I said but was over powered by Auburn and Kage's hellos. He gave me a shy little half smile as they both tried to talk to him and embarrass me. He almost never took his eyes off me. I totally could've fainted. Then all of a sudden I hear Kage say, " She said she wants to marry you and have lots if kids with you if you know what mean," I tore my eyes away from Jeremiah's. "What?!" I said. " I never said that what are you talking about?!" I started babble but I had never been more embarrassed in my life. "It's okay," I hear and turn around to look at Jeremiah. " I believe you." I smiled at him and look down at the ground. I MUST be blushing. Thank you for the nighttime darkness. "Do you think you could hang out for a little while," I hear Kage say hoping so much Jeremiah will say yes. "My grandma will not let me," "Can't you at least go and ask, please," "I know my grandma will absolutely not let me hang out right now, it's to late," I look down at the ground, my smile gone. I know I'm, in a word, me but am I really that horrible that he won't even go ask if he can come hang out I mean really. My heart just shattered. He looked at me and noticed the fact that I looked hurt and was not looking at him. "Believe me I am not trying to get out of this. I really do want to come hang out, I just know that she will say no. I'm not even supposed to be out right now," he tries to get our eyes to meet and gives me another ADORABLE half smile. "Jer," Dresdin says as he peeks around the corner of the house. "My mom is home. We gotta go." "When are you leaving?" Auburn quickly asks. "Sometime tomorrow. See you then?" "Sure," I said and smiled up at him. We stood there for a while just smiling and staring at each other. It was like one of those moments when absolutely nothing else existed. Except I never really imagined my non biological brother and sister to be there staring. Auburn just smiling at us and Kage, not to happy. "Jer let's go!" Jeremiah turned his head when we heard Dresdin scream, knocking us out of our trance. "I have to go," Jeremiah said softly as he looked back at me. "I know. It's okay. We might see each other tomorrow before I leave right?" "Wait where are you going?" He asked me. "I don't live here," I said. "Oh! Well then why don't we-," "Jeremiah! Get in here!" He looked back at me with sadness and longing. "Goodbye." I said with a smile as I turned to walk away. He grabbed my arm and I turned back around. "I'll miss you," he said. "Miss...you too?" I said kind of awkwardly. I couldn't help it. It was kind of really weird. "Bye!" The other two screamed. He waved. As we were walking away, my two friends were laughing at me like they had never seen anything so hilarious in there life. I turn around just in time to see him face palm and then get yelled at once more by Dresdin for not being inside. he looks at me one more time before running inside. our eyes lock and he smiles I turn back around to finish listening to the twins rants. "I'll miss you? What was that?"Kage said. "Shut up you guys! It was adorable," I said putting my head down. I was totally blushing and smiling. Auburn stopped laughing and just smiled sweetly at me. "You like him don't you?" Auburn asked. I partially looked up at her. I was still smiling and blushing. "Yeah, but I'm never gonna see him again so it doesn't really matter." Kage was still laughing at me so she elbowed him in the rib cage and apparently pretty hard because he completely collapsed to the ground in the middle of the road. I ran back to help him while Auburn leisurely walked. "Kage, Kage are you alright?" I screamed in his face. He rolled onto his back and looked up at me dramatically. I felt his breathing start to speed up and I got a little confused. All of a sudden he threw himself up towards me. I backed up and he kissed my nose. "Gotcha," he said."Keep it in your pants bro!"Auburn said. I was still just shocked he actually tried something. I mean I thought he liked me but I wasn't fully sure until now. "What was that??" I asked him. "I missed," he said winking at me. "Whatever dude." I said. I was still to focused on the whole Jeremiah thing that just went on. Sigh. He was so adorable with his blonde hair and blue eyes. A three inch height difference. Of all the people I would never see again in this world why did he have to be one of them? Kage looked hurt. He was the most popular boy in his grade and that would've normally worked on any girl......alive. But sorry bro, we're to close. We walked to the curb in front of A's house and stayed out for a bit hoping he would come out but he never did so we went inside and into Kage's room to sleep for the night.

That was the best weekend of my life. I wonder if he still likes me. I wonder if Kage still likes me.

When I awoke from my trance I heard Mrs. Segbefia tapping on the board trying to get everyone's attention. I looked at Jeremiah once again. This'll be a great year.
