Here are all the boys I ever dated:
Derrick Foster
• eighth grade
• swore excessively (and studied rarely)
• had HUGE daddy issues (seriously, never mention him)
• called me babe (ALL THE TIME)
• had glasses too wide (for a face too narrow)
• overused "literally" and "insane" ("it was literally so insane, keer")
• called me "keer" instead of "kir-a" (literally all the time)
• sloppy, way-too-much-tongue kisses
Grant O'Reilly
• summer before freshman year
• fiery red hair (but mild, bland affection)
• wrote poetry about the human condition and human existence (always had a pencil and notebook on him)
• absent minded (and inattentive)
• made me into a character: Kayla Newton (said character ended up heroically sacrificing her life for the betterment of the world)
• pecked me on the lips twice
Fred Harrington
• sophomore year
• liked to read German comics (yet could not utter a single German word)
• was hell bent on letting everyone know we were dating (arm was always draped around shoulder)
• southern charm (and drawl)
• liked getting surprised (but not in the form of a SURPRISE I'M BREAKING UP WITH YOU kind of way)
• will cry when dumped (by cry I mean bawl)
• will cry and scream and yell (and tell everyone that he was better off)
• pudgy, sweaty hands in mine
Kai Coulter
• very recent
• genuinely liked fighting (thought it was productive and necessary)
• played guitar (shirtless)
• would lock up when angry (physically and emotionally)
• thrived off attention (and adoration)
• the human equivalent of a vacuum (always needs more, more, more)
• headstrong (would trust his gut entirely)
• every single insecurity of mine was his
