chapter 5: Unexpected

Santiago began to walk down the dark empty ally way. "Santi" a cold voice echoed. Santiago stopped while his eyes tried to adjust "Who's there?"
Suddenly a bright blueish light shone right in front of him and not long after it took shape. "Hehehe" A head that looked like boy with short brown hair and bangs covering his face appeared. Santiago was shocked abut quickly recovered "Answer me. Who are you? "Just a friend." The boys body finally appeared but instead of legs had a ghost-gene like legs.
Santiago took a couple of steps back and before he could speak the boy had his hand on Santiago's forehead and said "Hopefully we're on good terms when we meet"
"Wha-" Santiago quickly disappeared. "Hehehehe... Now will you do your end of the deal Michael?"
Michael stepped behind the boy and uncovered his face from the hoodie. His face had Deep scar from his right ear to his nose. "of course but I don't know if you'll have it for long"
The boys crooked smile quickly turned into a frown then back to a smile "we'll see.."

Santiago awoke in a soft warm bed. With the sent of lemony lavender. He sat up and yawned as he was doing this he focused on a mirror infront of him. "Huh?!" he jumped out of bed and scrambled to the mirror. He touched his face and stretched some skin. "No way.... " Santiago was seven years younger around the time his brothers died. "What...why... HOW?!" Santiagos screamed and held his head "this has to be a dream! C'mon wake up.... WAKE UP!!" Santiago desperately cried.
"Santi are you ok?" Daniel asked holding a letter.
Santiago turned around slowly and when his eyes met Daniels his eyes began to tear up.
"Woah! Santi are you ok?!" Daniel quickly rushed and hugged Santiago and as he did this Santiago cried more.
"I missed you and Temo so much! "
Santiago cried.
"what do you mean? I've been with you the whole time...i can't say that for Temo though.." Daniel said reassuringly but with a bit of sadness.

Santiago felt sick in his stomach. "This... No.. It can't be! " Santiago thought to himself as he withdrew from the hug and wiped his tears.
"Was this a dream or did that boy send him back in time. Impossible! Theres no way... Or is there" he thought.
Daniel sighed and smiled "Did you have a bad dream?"
Santiago just looked at Daniel with a blank stare.
"Well anyway we have a letter...its from-" "Temo... "Daniel was interrupted by Santiago.
Daniel was confused he just received it not too long ago there was no way that Santiago could of known it was him but Daniel quickly brushed it off. Maybe he just guessed it. It wasn't like they were going to be getting letters from anyone else.
"Yup! Let's see what it says" Daniel began taking the letter out of the envelope when Santiago began to speak.
"My dear brothers. I know that we've hadn't see each other in a while and I was on restriction. But in that time I have diverse a plan. A way to get out of this god forsaken hell hole. Meet me by the green house tonight.

Daniel quickly read it and looked up at Santiago in disbelief.
"H-how did you" he shook his head in confusion.
Santiago sat down on a nearby chair and sighed "This is what we're going to do. We're for once not going to meet with Temo. He'll just end up getting you two killed. But instead-"
"How do you know? I mean Why would he get him and I killed? We can't live on like this! They are constantly checking your head and my program and.... Oh my did they-" Daniel had a startled looked
"No they didn't do anything to me but I've seen it happen... And I don't want to live in a world without my brothers! " Santiago stood up quickly and pushed the chair back causing it to fall back.
"What do you mean? " Daniel was really confused and started blinking rapidly. Daniel was so confused and tried to analyze so hard that he short circuited and fell.
"Danny? Danny!" Santiago rushed over to Daniel "Wha? No please.. nurse! NURSE!!! "
A nearby nurse quickly came in and saw Daniel and rushed to get a stretcher and more nurses.

The nurses came and picked Daniel up and took him to the "Infirmary" for Daniel it was more like a work shop.
Santiago sighed somehow this made his happy. Since he knew it would take a while to reboot Daniel making that Fateful day no more....or at the moment. Santiago looked at the clock. It read 2:00pm
He sighed and thought or staying in the room to purposely miss the meet up but decided to go tell Cuauhtemoc. Along with something to talk Cuauhtemoc out of escaping but no matter how good of a relationship they had Santiago was scared of Cuauhtemoc. santiago guessed since what they injected him with changed a bit of his brothers personality and his thinking. But they didn't change his personality, but for his way of thinking did change.

Time passed and it was now 6:00pm and Santiago couldn't wait any longer. So he put on his red scarf that Daniel gave to him. Daniel originally got it as a present from somebody but since he only wears a bandana with a toast symbol he just decided to give it to Santiago. Just as he was about to leave he remembered he was wearing Cuauhtemocs' jacket. It would be awkward if he noticed. He thought for a second thinking of a way to cover it up but it had the same right sleeve cut and Santiago didn't know how to cover it up.
After all the contemplation he decided to leave the jacket behind.

As Santiago walked the narrow hallways he heard whispers and re saw suppress memories. As Santiago held his head in agony. "Santi" "Santi!" "SANTI!!" "SANTIAGO!"
Just as the memories and whispers came they quickly ended "huh? " he looked around until his eyes met Cuauhtemocs'.
"What's wrong with you? " Cuauhtemocs voice was cold and harsh.
"N-nothing...Your plan" Santiago quickly recovered.
Cuauhtemocs ears perked up and a slight smile grew on his face but quickly went away "where's Danny?"
Santiago sighed "At the infirmary he-"
Santiago was quickly cut off
"You let him go all by himself?!" Cuauhtemoc yelled in a concerned but harsh way.

"Yeah...but Temo you-" Santiago was cut off again.
"Remember the rule I told you? Why didn't you stay with him?! " Cuauhtemoc shooked Santiago harshly.
At that moment Santiago snapped and got angry "YOUR PLAN FAILS OK! YOU AND DANIEL..." Santiago bit his tongue and his eyes started to water "You two die... " he looked straight into Cuauhtemoc's eyes "and it's all because of your stupid plan to escape. You don't know this whole place. You are not smarter than THIS place! Please don't do this all over again! "

Cuauhtemoc stood there confused "how do you... Know this. How are you sure? "
Santiago wiped his tears "because I've seen it with my eyes. You get shot by some weird gun trying to stall. Then Daniel gets disintegrated..."
Cuauhtemoc stands quietly then burst out laughing "Ah I get it you're just worried! Ok ok we won't go with my plan." Cuauhtemoc patted Santiago's back. Santiago murmured under his breath "sure"

As Cuauhtemoc and Santiago walked off to see Daniel,a girl with emerald green eyes smiled and stepped out of the darkness. A sad painful expression was on her face.
