5.My Girl....

Icha's POV:

Today I was so busy that I didn't have much time to chat with my parents because there is a fest in the college of which I am in charge. As Daya promised, he came to pick me up this morning. We were on the way, and huh..... we got stuck in the traffic. I was worried because I have to reach on time, soon I was feeling that someone is staring at me, as some looks were hitting my back. But as I gazed behind, there was no one. A while later, the traffic got cleared and we reached college on time..

I went and met our Principal, he gave us instructions and after that, we headed to the auditorium. There we met our gang. Daya started the work of arrangements. Oh sorry, I did not tell you about the fest right ........ This fest is for children. Our MP is the chief guest, so we are clearly instructed that the arrangements should be perfect. I started practicing my dance. As I was practicing, I saw two boys staring at me, I don't know who they are ??? and why are they staring at me ??

After a while, a peon came to me and told me that some officers have arrived for inspection. So I told my friends to continue the practice and headed towards them. 'OH NO! He is the same officer who arrested those rowdies and now he's here for inspection' I said to myself.

"I recognized you through your sweet voice" Those words were still ringing in my head. As I approached them, I wished them and they wished me back. I started explaining to them the arrangements. In the midst of showing them the arrangements, his friend, I think his name is Jai, got a call. He excused himself and then Abhijeet started talking, " So you are actually brave enough haan, I mean as a girl, you took a daring step to call the police ." He said. Hearing this, my body started shivering as all the words of my dad came ringing back into my head. I was feeling uncomfortable, sensing this, he did not ask me anything further. His friend soon joined us and I did the rest of my work and they soon went to meet the Principal and after some time I saw them going out. I was staring at him as if he is going away from me. I came out of my thoughts when Daya patted me on my back ...........

" What happened ...? You are so out in space, or may I say in someone's thoughts ..." He said with a teasing smile. I was so confused that why was I so attracted by him ????  Soon I came out of my world and started working again.

Soon it was evening. The program will start in two hours. For the last time, I checked all the arrangements again and Daya gave me an assurance that he will take care of everything. Then I went to get ready. I was still thinking about him ''Will he come again to the program'' A question raised in my mind. In these thoughts, I began getting ready.......

Abhijeet's POV:

"OH, MAN !!!! Hurry up, will you ??? You are taking a lot of time as if a girl. We are getting late." I yelled at Jai, as he was making us late. There are only two hours left for the program and we have to start now because this Mumbai traffic is terrible.

"Why are you shouting at me man, can't you see I am getting ready, and don't worry your girl will not run away anywhere ....." He said in between his laughs

" Who is my girl, I am talking about work" I retorted. But I like the thought of her being called 'MY GIRL'. Once he was ready, we bid bye to our parents and started in our vehicle.

After one hour we reached there. The arrangements were actually superrrrp . I was watching everything there minutely.

"What happened, don't worry, I think she is getting ready for the program, soon she will come out and you can see her," Jai said in a teasing tone

"I am not waiting for anyone to come, I am just admiring the arrangements here, because...." I was cut by him," Because she arranged everything and for sure you will like it because it is her " He said. I was about to punch him when the Principal came and wished us and took us to his office. there we began conversing about some issues which eventually transformed into a lot of issues.

Now it was time for the program to begin. MP sir was already there. I was seated in the first row along with MP sir and Jai on either of my sides. Soon the program started and I was waiting for the performances, frankly speaking for HER performance. As I wished her performance was first. She came onto the stage. She was looking breathtaking, so adorable and charming. Their performance began and she was the lead in it. Her performance was mesmerizing ........... I was just staring at her and forgot about the world around me. Her performance got over and she was moving away from the stage but my eyes never left her, my eyes were traveling along with her. Jai stroked me, that is when I came back into my senses and realized that my phone was ringing. I took my phone out of my pocket. It was Hari sir calling me. Since, inside the auditorium, it was too noisy, I came out of the auditorium to receive the call.

"Hello Abhi, is everything okay there ..? " He asked me.
"Yes sir, everything is under my control," I told him assuringly.
"So Abhi, ................................." He was saying something, but my mind was somewhere else.......... Here I was standing outside the auditorium and saw Icha jumping and shouting in the excitement that she did well. She was like a little cute girl, who on given chocolate for telling the rhyme correctly would start doing a happy dance. She was so adorable that I had no words to describe her.

" Hello, hello .... Abhi are you there ??? " Hari sir was asking me.  'Oh no, I forgot about the call, sir is talking to me since God knows when and where I am, in my own world' I mentally chided myself.
"Sorry sir, there is a disturbance in the line sir ." I lied to him.

"OK then, call me after the program gets over." He told me and then the line went dead.

When I turned around, by mistake I bumped into someone. And before the other person could lose their balance, I caught that person by the waist so that they will not fall. For a second, our eyes met and here she is again ........ The girl,' NO, NO my girl maybe ' This time, I was staring into her eyes ........ those eyes which changed me a lot, which made me fall for her without my own knowledge. Now I was clearly watching her beauty closely, she is sooooo beautiful, her innocent face, soft skin like a baby, and her perfect body structure. That moment was really breathtaking, I wanted to stay like that for hours, days, years, or maybe for my entire life, just with her in my arms, feeling her and staring into those eyes .......

Soon I came out of my thoughts when her friends started coughing, making me realize that I was still holding her in my arms and so I helped her to stand straight and took my hands away from her. She was blushing profusely. Her blush was cuter than her smile. As soon as I left her, she ran inside with her friends. But I was still standing there, feeling that moment, again and again, the feel of her in my arms ..... this moment, I can't ever forget this in my life .....

After that I went inside, I was there watching the program with my eyes and hearing it with my ears,
but not with my heart. I was physically present there, but my heart and mind were somewhere else. Hopefully, after a while, the program got over and we went out of the auditorium. I was roaming around the college just like that, with Jai, as MP sir was having dinner but I was not in a mood to eat anything so we came out for a walk. We were walking in the corridors of the building away from the auditorium when Jai received a call and as there was no signal around there, he went out of the corridor to receive the call. As I was walking around, I saw something on the floor, something like a dupatta(a long scarf), I got a feeling that I saw it somewhere, I went and saw it carefully. I was hearing some small squeals from the opposite classroom as well and as I went inside and what I saw next, took my breath away...........
