Chapter 2
The next day, I walked into Starbucks.
"Hi, welcome to Starbucks, how may I help you?"
"Uh, can I get a Mocha Frappucino?"
"Make that two" someone from behind me said. I turned around to see the boy in the car. He looked down at me, since I was pretty small, and smiled.
"Names?" She asked.
"Cat"
"Greg"
"That's... $5.36"
I went to get my wallet from my bag, but 'Greg' paid quicker than I could.
The lady went to go make our drinks.
"So, 'Cat', are you new here?"
I gave him a confused look. Isn't he new here too? I guess not.
"...yeah..."
"Where ya from?"
"... LA" I replied. To be honest, I really wasn't in the mood to talk. But he just had to keep dragging on the conversation.
"What's your last name?"
I turned to him and sighed. Finally the lady came with our drinks. I said thank you and was about to walk out the door, when he stopped right in front of me.
"Is there a problem?" He asked.
"Okay, listen, 'Greg', I don't know who you are exactly and what you want from me but I absolutely positively know you don't want to get to know me better."
"Why so sure?" Se said with a slightly sexy voice, making me weak at the knees.
"I'm not the kind of person you would like me to be" I whispered barely even audible. And with that,I walked out. I admit I did kinda feel bad about blowing him off, but I don't even know him and he's already trying to lead me on? I don't think so...
I started walking to one of my classes (drawing), When some random lady came up to me.
"Hi, I'm Miranda the BU vice principal. Are you Cat Montgomery?" She asked me.
"Uh yesss..." I said holding on the 's'
"Well your roommate, uh Eliana Joyce, said she wanted to switch dorm mates. So your new roommate will be 'Beca Loiden'".
"...okay" I replied not really caring since I didn't like the girl anyway.
"Okay then. Have a good day"
"I'll try" I mumbled walking away.
