When the friends left the cement room for the second time that day, the car that Rachel had gifted them was right before them. It was a shiny black Mercedes that left the two of them speechless. Jus to be sure that it was their, Rhi pressed the button on the keys and the car beeped, it's headlights flashing as the doors unlocked. Carley got close to the vehicle, lifting her hand to feel the glossy paint job before Rhi lunged towards her, swatting the girl's hand away.
"Hands off the paint job!" he barked playfully.
Carley grinned, realizing that the argument from before was behind them for the moment. Rhi slid into the drivers side of the car while Carley got in the passenger and a second realization came upon her, the Japanese drive on the left side of the road, unlike Americans. That would mean that Rhi would end up with trouble driving, which could lead to getting pulled over and subseqensily the police figuring out that Carley and Rhi had no form of identification and they'd get arrested or something like that. Carley wasn't sure, she never studied the Japanese procedure for illegal immigrants.
"Rhi" she said. "Don't forget to drive on the left side, and be careful- I don't think Rachel'd be too happy with us if we were found out to be illegal immigrants."
Rhi only laughed, starting the car.
"Carley, Carley, Carley- didn't you realize? I drive on the left side of the road anyway." with that the boy pulled onto the road, driving to nowhere unparticular and for a while, neither of them really noticed- the both of them were too immersed in the luxuries of the car. It had large cup holders in the front and back seat. The seats, lined with a beige interior fabric. They even had a heated feature for the seats.
Rhi was admiring the steering wheel and glowing speedometer as he drove the car. It glided smoothly through the streets when it wasn't paused in traffic.
When both of their stomachs growled not an hour after initially discovering their new car Rhi was glad to see the Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant off to the side of the road. Rhi pulled the car into a crowded parking space. He killed the engine and looked to Carley whom was already putting on her glasses and earbuds, preparing herself to hear and read Japanese. He decided to do the same and they exited the car.
It wasn't long before they were in the bright room and they had gotten in line, ready to order a bucket of fried chicken and some biskets. They got to the front of the line quick enough and Carley was the one to order.
"Hello ma'm, welcome to Kentucky Fried Chicken, would you care to try our new lemon cake?" the two friends were amazed as they could understand the man whom was clearly speaking Japanese. They knew that he was speaking Japanese because his lips were out of sinc with the sounds he was making.
"Oh, no thank you sir, can we just have a bucket of fried chicken and some biskets please?"after looking to Rhi she added,
"Oh and if it's not too much trouble a large Coca-Cola, thanks."
"Of course ma'm, that'll be 1,876.49 yen. Please step to the next line."the girl and boy complied and in the next line, Rhi said;
" 'Please'? 'If it's not too much trouble'?" he mocked.
"Rhi, I can't help it," she whinned.
"I hate it when people are mean to those people. They work hard too."
"Yeah, compared you, you're such a lazy ass." Carley growled at the boy next to her and handed the man across from her the credit card and he swiped it and handed them their grub.
"The dining area I upstairs." He said- giving the card back.
"Thank you sir," cheered Carley and this time Rhi though more as a mockery of Carley than anything else. The two of them went up the stairs into the room and sat in a booth, ready to begin plotting.
"Okay Rachel , if you want to be surprised later and you're listening- I'd leave. We're gonna be plotting. Are you gone? Well if you're not then it its your fault if you're disappointed later."Rhi said, as if speaking to a spirit in a séance. "Carley any ideas?"
"well," the younger girl began."There are really two ways that we can go about this." Rhi quirked a brow
"And those two ways would be?"
"Well we can go all operation 'Fanfiction' and rescue everyone and have everyone fall in love with us.."Carley trailed off, imagining her and Near, together forever with 60 kids.
Carley shook her head, temporarily ridding herself of the thought. "But that way is kind of predictable and I bet that Rachel would kill us before we even start." Rhi agreed with Carley. Before now, he had thought of Rachel somewhat fondly. A friend of Carley, but now, Rhi could only see Rachel as threatening, only giving them the opportunity to come to this universe for her own entertainment.
"Other than the latest Mary-sue fanfiction, what can we do?" Rhi asked.
"Well, I may have told Rachel about a fanfiction idea I had a few weeks back."Carley said, eyes downcast to the table.
"I never came up with a title but basically two girls end up in Death Note and end up screwing around with the plotline, killing everyone in the process. The thing is, she actually recommended a title."
"What was it?" Rhi asked suspisiosly.
"The Ryuk Way."
".."
".."
there was a pregnant silence and Rhi was contemplating killing Carley through strangulation. Carley however continued on with the original path of conversation, distracting Rhiannon with those thoughts.
"It's obvious that Rachel wants us to kidnap somebody but- we can't take L, or Light. At the moment they kinda need to do their own thing with the Kira case. We can't screw it up now- we're at the vital point in time were there's all that suspicion. We should probably stick to minor fuckary with those two for now."
"Yeah I guess you're right but at the same time, if we're going to kidnap someone, we can't take and of the Wammy boys- that'd distract L from what's really important and he might even think that Kira kidnapped them. Even if he doesn't, he's still going to spend a lot of time looking for them. I can't deal with the cops chasing us and keeping those guys around." He took a chicken leg and bit a large bite from it.
"Okay then, I guess we can't take anyone, anytime soon. But, we could just pop in. Just be like 'yo, we sellin' purses, you want some?' "
Rhi laughed
"the fuck? You want to be a door to door purse salesman?"
"Saleswoman" Carley corrected with a grin.
"Right, Right. Lets add Mormons on the list too."
"No, lets do both at the same time. What's that song, um, um-"
"it's Hello! from The book of Mormon." Carley and Rhi were both laughing now, talking between their own wheezes.
"Okay then, we know what to do. We're gonna convert the taskforce and sell some murses. I'm down"
The last of their food was gone. The two friends left the fast food joint and entered their car, still laughing and now planning to book a room and the Tetio hotel.
Carley:Kay maybe the hell raising didn't start yet but I guess it will next chapter, sorry for the wait.
