PART 1

Sammy

The golden morning sun shone through yellow curtains. The weather was way to nice for my mood. For my life. Now before you get the wrong impression. I\\\'m not some weird psycho who hates life. I do in fact love a lot of aspects of life, for example: food, friends, my work, vacation.... But waking up at 6 a.m. to go to work with a major hangover isn\\\'t the greatest thing. I crushed the red rose from John. Fucking lieing bastard.

John had been my date for exactly 9 hours, 35 minutes, and 56 seconds. Why did I know this? Because he had freakin written it on a piece of paper. Who the hell does that?

My older sister Letty had had her wedding yesterday, she had gotten her friends friends friend to go with me. Yeah not very promising, huh? It took him 30 minutes before he tried to get his sweaty hands up my dress.

My boss didn\\\'t look to happy when I got to work. The phrase \"If looks could kill...\" ran through my head as she advanced towards me. I glanced down at my crumpled suit. I had put on pants today.

\"Ms. Riodino?\" Her cold steely eyes penetrating into me. Had I taken a shower this morning?

\"Yes Ma\'am\"

\"It has come to my attention that you are always, always late or absent for work. Is that true?\" Well, shit. Caught me.

\"That\'s a little exaggerated I think. I might have been late a few times....\" Her icy glare stops me right in my tracks. How can one small person like her hold so much power and cause so much fear?

\"Ms. Riodino lieing doesn\'t help. I\'m very sorry about this, but under the these.... circumstances I have no other choice but to..... relieve you from your duties to this company.\"

\"Your firing me?!\" I can\'t believe this? This must be the worst day in my life of the long list of bad days!

\"Well that\'s not the terms I\'d have chosen to use..... but essentially yes. That\'s what I\'m saying. I\'m sorry. \" Well of course she\'s damn sorry! Now she has to go find some newbie to get my job!

I turn around and flee. As I\'m about to head out of the glass double doors I see a familiar figure running up to me.

Heck, is he fallowing me now?

\"Hi John. \"\'Watta you doing here?\" He looks at me with the expression of what the hell is she doing here? all written over it.

\"Oh hey...\" Wow, he already forgot my name!

\"Sammy.... I used to work here.\"

\"Oh, really? That\'s funny. I just got hired.\" O, shit. This is not real.

\"Yeah, I just quite. You\'ll soon find that this is not a... good environment to work at.\"

\"Really?\"

\"Yeah. The boss especially. Mrs. Lime, you\'d think she swallowed one! See I got a good job offer at one of the best institutes for aspiring actresses.\" I can see the disbelief in his eyes. Yeah it wasn\'t one of my best excuses.

\"Oh there you are Mr. Madison! I see you have met our infamous Ms. Riodino,\" she smiles coldly at me. I bet you everything I own that she heard every word of our conversation. Including the part were I told John that she looks like a lime. \" Shouldn\\\'t you be getting to the unemployment office?\" Crap.  Well there went my chances of a dignified exit.

Melody

\"Come to me baby. I won\\\'t hurt you.\" Like hell you won\'t, I want to whisper back to him, but I can\'t. It\\\'s just a memory. A loaded memory though, a poisoned one. I can still feel his slimy hands on my skin. I shivered and didn\'t have anything to do with the icy wind that was blowing from the coast.

The building is big, the apartments in them looked giant. I rang up Lydia. I heard her voice through the phone, it sounded grumpy. Well of course it did. It was 6:05 a.m. on Saturday.

Me and my sister had always had an unspoken deal, I would go to her if I had a problem, in return she came to me when she had a problem. Usually it was me though that was standing on a cold morning outside her apartment building asking her to let me in. I used to have a key until I just came in one night while she and her boyfriend were making love. I did that a couple of times and I guess she didn\'t appreciate that...

\"What happened this time Jello?\" That\'s another thing about us. When we were little Lydia couldn\\\'t say Melody or Mel, so she came to call me Jello instead.

\"Nothing.\" I just want to get to \'my bedroom\', I spent so much time at Lydia\'s that I have my own bedroom.

I push past her, the lilac painted door is only a few feet away from, but Lydia is faster.

\"I\'m not that stupid. What is it?\" And that\'s when I completely lose it. I start bawling, bug fat tears rolling down my cheeks. \"Who was it? What should I do?\" You\'d thing she\'d be used to this, considering the many times I\'ve broken down in front of her. But each time this happens she looks like a flustered chicken wringing her hands, stroking my back while at the same time making a cup of tea that I\'ll never drink anyway.

I manege to whisper \"I-I got raped.\"
