His words pierced her as he spoke.

Truthfully, she did work with that clown but it was forced. For she was Doflamingo's personal possession, made to be used and thrown. She was tasked with stalling Mugiwara, which she did by hugging him as she was planning to place him in cryostasis for a brief moment. But who else, besides her, could figure out those intentions of hers?

And as she laid him down to rest, she had just wanted to serve as his siren, singing him a lullaby as she always wanted to do. However, at that moment, he awoke and envigorated himself, imbuing every fibre of her glacial body with his presence. The magnificence of his Haoushoku Haki was ineffable and the strongest she ever faced, blowing the fear of her previous master out of the water. Amd within the span of a week, her world came tumbling down as Luffy ended the Tenryuuyasha's tyranny on the country of Dressrossa and her in his single, carefree stride. Even now, she recalled the events vividly, and it sent chills down her spine.

Be it a blessing or a curse, she was here now. A lost canary, unsure of her world and her place. She could only grasp at straws, desperate for meaning. The man before her came to her naturally, for he opened up her cage and brought her out to this foreign world.
Without knowing what she sought after and what to expect, she appeared before him like diamond dust. Her green locks falling gracefully in front of her feral, salacious eyes as she breathed shallowlly, her chest rising and falling in an unsteady cadence, demonstrating her anxiety.

However, the reverberance laced in his voice was unbecoming of a human voice, directing an otherworldly feeling at Monet. Was it fury? Rage? His voice wasn't loud, but its magnanimity and will was felt as such due to Luffy willing his Haoushoku Haki to activate. Monet trembled in fright and excitement, her tongue once again licking her pasted rictus due to a nervous tic, cold sweat being felt on her neck as she gazed into the abyss of strength, her body recalling what it felt like to be bathed in someone's power. But that was just the beginning, her appreciation and praise turned to terror as she understood his intentions.

'This feeling of power! Such raw dominance! I'm going to get killed!' Her body screamed in danger as it shivered and she unbeknowingly took flight and as she beat her wings in front of her, her smile never leaving that angelic face. However, as she retreated briefly, the concocted blizzard she manifested suddenly burst as she lost control to the visceral impulse that is fear.

***************POOF************

The finesse embodied in Monet's hurricane of hail was eradicated entirely by Luffy's presence. And immediately, the scene unfolding in front of him changed instantly.

Suddenly, the unforgiving snow revolving around him fragmented, casting the illusion of them being transferred to a winter wonderland as snowflakes slowly drifted down all around him. Snowballs that were meant to threaten the man merely lost their form and were instead used like fireworks, painting the otherwise silent night in a pure white. As though an angel had kissed the very air that Luffy stood right there and then

'Mm?' Luffy's serious gaze shifted from the cowering Monet that was floating 5m in front of the ship to the sky, and then all around him as he glimpsed snowflakes crystallizing around him and falling gracefully onto his skin, as though they were snowy butterflies resting on branches. His breath fogged up as he gasped and laughed, his eyes... tearing up?... as he spun and spun, screaming 'AWESOMMMMEEE!!' , as the snow landed on him. His eyes filled with child-like amazement as he held his arms out as the soft, soft snow landed on him, sticking out his rubber tongue as far as 10m in order to taste as much snow as possible. The bizzare 180 twist to the verbal execution she just received felt as if it was unreal, sending her into a spiral of confusion. His eyes completely mesmerised by the sight, his eyes bedazzling with stars.

The merciless shinigami that stood before her just a second ago regressed to a child...
Someone stop him, he's making snow angels now... Sigh, this is the man that could level an island with a punch? This ... Imbecile?
'Oohoohoo! Sugggeee! Yukkkiiiiiiii!!!!' Luffy screamed in utter ecstasy, his shrill voice echoing his love for Snow as he pranced about the frozen deck. He started skipping throughout the deck, rolling in the snow and building snowman with a huge grin plastered on his innocuous face.
'This whimsical man... It's almost as bad as Cavendish's scenario.." She whispered softly, as she recalled viewing Cavendish's alter-ego, Hakuba, run unfettered as he butchered the contestants. " If I make an enemy of him, I won't live" She realised this fact as the 19-year-old man-child ran unabated in the snow she created. She smiled sheepishly, trying not to laugh at his childish antics.

" Haha! What a bad snowman that is!"
She laughed, this time without hiding the adorable smile she had adorned on her, only then realising the disparity between the tense atmosphere just before. She too realised that she could not come to hate this man, her saviour. And as she glanced at him furtively, she realised that she was even more attracted to his mysterious allure. A hypnotic force that compels her to want to be with this man, to be with the Pirate king
