A bright light shown in my eyes I tried to move but couldn't. I looked around trying to focus on the area around me there were white walls and ceiling panels with recess lighting flashing by. I kept looking around and then saw a burly nurse with tattoos pushing me down the hallway my last thoughts were who am I and where am I. I blacked out again as I was being pushed down the hallway.
I woke up to the sensation of oxygen getting forced into my lungs. I started breathing although it was difficult and the force of the oxygen didn't help. My tired lungs couldn't keep up but I tried and tried to breathe deeper and deeper. I heard a steady beep coming from beside me which I guess means that my heart beat is okay. I blinked my eyes trying to clear the ash and sting of the smoke from them. My breathing finally started to better and I was able start and move only a little bit. A tall woman entered the room she had long black hair brown eyes and earthy toned skin she was wearing a lab coat and a shape with symbols pinned to it. I thought what are those symbols I feel like I have seen them before. She spoke in a soft tone "Hello my name is Dr.Lanikai can you tell me your name?" there was a long pause because I couldn't remember how to speak. Since I couldn't speak I simply shook my head no. She spoke again but this time with a more concerned tone and with a worried look on her face. "Well can you tell me what my name tag says?" I focused hard on the symbols pinned to her lab coat. I shook my head in frustration not even able to respond to her to say no I can't. I got frustrated with myself feeling like an invalid and that some how it was my fault. She held her clipboard steady to her body and wrote on it with a concerned look. It was the same look that my mother would make at me if I was hurt or was going to make a bad decision. She stared me right in the eyes and concernedly said "I'm sorry to say this but it appears that you have a major case of amnesia which appears to have effected your speech and motor skills. I would love to know your name but it appears that you yourself might not even know it." I opened my mouth to try and speak but no words came out Dr.Lankai's patience and sympathy really made me feel like someone was always there for me.
