Forgiven

I open my eyes and all I see is darkness.

I'm reaching out but don't feel anything.

It's hot in here.

The sweat pours down my face and into my eyes and mouth.

Heavy breathing and cries of help are what I hear.

I've heard about this place in the Bible.

They say if you make it here, your here for eternity.

I start to silently cry.

Tears and sweat mixing together.

Then I see a light.

"Come here," says a voice.

I obey.

Walking towards it, I feel a comforting embrace surround me.

"You are forgiven my child."

Even in your darkest hour, God is still there. You have been forgiven.
