They wanted her to live her life. But when she did, they took it away. They crushed every possibility she thought of. It was as if they were trying to tell her who she was and what was best for her.
Yes, parents do know what's best for their child. But there comes a point where the child is no longer a child and knows what would be best for themself.
They wondered why she was so depressed. She was left alone with her thoughts a lot. She knew having something to do would make the bad thoughts go away. She enjoyed doing dance, ballet was her favorite. But they made her quit. She wanted to get into racing but she was told that it was too expensive. Everything was too expensive.
When she realized there were sports that she liked, it was too late. She wanted to be in soccer but she thought she wouldn't be good enough because she hasn't played her whole life. Same with basketball and swimming. She even thought about tennis. But just knew she wouldn't be good enough.
She is 18 years old now, a senior in high school. She is also known as Alex. Well she is only known as Alex to herself and the Internet people. Her real name was too girly, because, well she IS a girl. But Alex didn't like that. She wanted to be Alex because Alex is both genders. She doesn't like stereotypes. But if you were to stereotype her she acted like both genders.
