After spending hours at the ineffable lake which seemed to pass by as minutes. Alistair looked at his pocket watch and mumbled. Taking my arm gently, Melanie lead me back up the path and stopped in the middle of a gathering of trees she pointed out a left turn that led us to another path. I liked being able to walk around. It was nice to stretch my legs after being in bed for a long time. We reached the end of the path and soon a small village came into view.

The town was small, but it held a warm vibe that would make anyone feel welcome. I looked back in confusion at Alistair. "Why am I here?" My e/c eyes glistened in the light of the sun that peaked out at me from behind the near by trees. "Have a look princess." Luna gently pushed me towards the people. I awkwardly stumbled into the crowd and looked around me. Children skipped holding hands and mothers carried babies around them. I heard jolly laughter from a group of men who were selling fruit in a corner. What caught my eye though was that everyone was happy, I didn't see one crying child or an adult with an expression that held sadness. One elderly woman looked at me and even though she was old and withered, she smiled while walking with her grandchildren. Everyone looked to have a certain place in the town, no one was left behind. But why was there a town not far from my mansion. A path around the back led straight to it?

I turned back to my butler, and maid. Luna smiled at me encouraging me to move a bit. I coughed awkwardly. I didn't have very good social skills it appeared. Alistair must of seen how pathetic I looked and cleared his throat to get everyone's attention. Melanie stepped down and pulled me back to where they stood.

"Attention. We have news for the village of Valencia." I looked out to the people with interest. "Valencia." I quietly repeated to myself. My h/c locks blew in the wind. The sun was already starting to set and a cool breeze pushed past the trees. Alistair continued after a small break of silence. "We lost our princess many years ago. I though we would never get our highness back again." I felt a couple pairs of eyes on me. "Our princess has returned." And with those 4 words silence spread throughout the village. Not a bird chirped and no one dared to take a breath. The old woman I noticed earlier hobbled over to me. She took my hand in hers and led me back down in the middle of the crowd. She looked at me with her pale, faded, blue eyes. She sent me a smile. And with a shaky voice she exclaimed, "It is our princess! We have found her!" Everyone erupted in cheers and I blushed while everyone smiled at me and applauded. Luna and Melanie were grinning like mad and Connor and Alistair held soft smiles. Alistair's was more like a smirk. I felt a soft tug at the hem of my dress. There stood a little girl with loose blonde curls and brown eyes. She bowed and held up a beautiful white rose. I noted that the thorns had been cut off. She stood back up and gestured for me to bend down. I did as she instructed and she whispered in my ear, "I saved this for you. I always knew you would return." She pushed the rose in my hand and stepped away, her mother smiled at her and then returned an excited smile towards me. I looked at the Rose that lay in my hands. It was beautiful, pure white and soft like how I imagined an angel's wings to feel. I smiled, somehow that didn't feel so impossible.

________________________________Sorry if it's short. I just remembered at 11:30 at night I needed to update for you so here you go! Like the name Valencia? It means brave and is a common Latin baby name! Cute!
