Chapter 2: Glasses / Refusal

After I talked with Barricade, I refused to go home with Jazz. For some reason, I felt safe with Barricade. I walked over to Jazz and grabbed my bag. "See you never, Autoscum.", I said and got into Barricade's alt mode. Barricade parked on the side of the road. I tried to get out, but found that the doors were locked. I looked at the radio and sighed.

"Something wrong?", I asked calmly and he just sighed. "I need you to do me a favor.", I nodded and he continued, "I need you to buy those glasses from Ladysman217." I nodded and walked into the house. "What's with the police car? I thought you bought a silver Solstice.", Sam asked and I rolled my eyes. "Whatever. Say, I am interested in those glasses.", Sam smiled and I paid for the glasses once he handed them to me.

"Thanks. I guess I am going to sleep in the police car tonight. See ya.", I said and whispered, "Losers." I climbed in Barricade and smiled. "Did you get them?", he asked and I nodded. "Yep. They didn't even ask why.", I answered, "Hey, Barricade? Is it alright if I slept in your alt mode?" "I don't mind. Just don't lose those glasses, I need those.", I nodded and fell asleep.

When I woke up, we were trying to get Sam. "Stay here.", Bare ordered and I nodded. He went after Sam in an abandoned warehouse or something like that. I noticed my car coming closer to me. "BARRICADE!", I screamed and he came out of no where and started fighting the Autobot. He picked me up and placed me inside his chest. I seen a blue orb and figured that it was his heart or something.

From the sound of his heart going off, I fell asleep not too long after I got comfy. When Bare got shoved backwards, I jerked awake and cuddled against his inner metal. After about maybe 6 days I finally seen light. I smiled and sat up, waiting for his hand so I could jump on. I felt something...off. "Bare? Where are we?", I asked and he leaned up against a metal wall.

I jumped onto his extended hand and he sat me on the ground in front of him. "The Autobot brig.", I groaned and sat next to him. "What are we supposed to do while we are here? I HAVE RIGHTS!", I screamed to the guards. "You have lost your rights by siding with a con.", the guard snapped and I rolled my eyes. I looked at Bare and seen he was bleeding. I frowned and climbed up onto his leg.

I grabbed my bag and smiled. "What are you doing?", Barricade asked and raised an....eyebrow? "Fixing you. Your loosing blood, Bare. I don't want to loose you.", I looked through my bag and found my blowtorch and a few other things I'd need. I went straight to work on fixing him up. When I was done, someone threw in a blue cube. It was out of Bare's reach. "Here you go.", I gave him the block.

"Thanks. This will rise my Energon levels a little bit.", he drank the cube and I tossed it for him. "What are the basic things about you guys?", I asked and he gave me a confused look, "What I mean is what do you call your eyes, heart, hands, that sort of thing." "Eyes are optics. Heart is Spark. Hands are servos. Feet are pedes. And blood is Energon.", he explained and I nodded.

He helped me make a few things to keep him healthy and functional. He helped me make a devise to keep an optic on his Energon levels and another devise to pump Energon inside of him if he is too weak. We got to know one another too. Bare even told me that he regrets ever being a con and that he is Neutral now. He even shares some of his Energon with me to keep me from getting weak.

He does know that Energon is bad for us humans, but he also knows that I am stronger than most humans. "Hey Samantha?", Bare said and I looked up at him. "Yeah, Bare?", I responded. "Do you want me to be your guardian to protect you from the cons?", I smiled and nodded. "Yes, I do. If it were Jazz being my guardian then I would have left him on the side of the road to find you.", I said and he nodded in reply.

It was time for Bare's last cube of Energon for the day. The door opened and Ironhide came in to give Bare his Energon. "Here is your Energon Punk Ass Decepticon.", he threw Bare the Energon and then noticed me, "How the frag did you get in here? PRIME! We have a situation!" I grabbed the Energon and ran next to Bare. The Autobots tend to scare me when they yell and Bare knows it.

Optimus and Ratchet came. Optimus must have figured he'd need Ratchet. "What's wrong Ironhide?", Optimus asked and Ironhide glared at Bare. "That squishy next to Barricade somehow got in here. We need to get it away from him.", Ironhide said and the three bots walked in. Bare tried standing up to keep me safe. "No! Bare your too weak to stand! You need to sit back down!", I yelled and he complied.

The bots kept a safe distance from Bare and tried to get me to come to them. "Come on squishy we don't have all day!", Ironhide growled. "My name is not squishy! It's Samantha Rochester!", I growled and climbed up to Bare's head. "Samantha, why are you not coming with us? Barricade is dangerous.", Optimus tried to reason. "No, he isn't dangerous! He is my only friend! Bare saved me!", I yelled.

"I-I did? How?", Bare asked and I smiled at him. "When I met you at that lake party, you took me to Sam's house. You didn't leave and you wouldn't let me out of your sight. If you did let me leave, I would be dead right now. My parents they- I'm sorry, Bare. I don't want them to know. Anyway, your the only being in the world who knows what I have gone through and who understands my pain.", I explained.

He nodded and I set the Energon down to hug him. I heard the bots sigh and leave. I started crying and he rubbed my back to sooth me. "Do you want to talk about it?", Bare asked me. "Alright, BUT you need to drink your Energon first.", I smiled and held the Energon to his lips so he could drink it. He keeps telling me he feels like he is getting weaker, but I think there is a different reason to it.

"Back home, my parents were really mean to me.", I started and he nodded, "They would kick me, punch me, smack me, call me a freak, and about a week ago my dad got to the point of raping me. I refuse to see him or my mom ever again, but I can only be away from them for so long." His eyes turned a darker shade of red, then went back to their crimson color.

"You are NEVER getting out of my sight. If someone tries to take you they'd have to kill me. I'd rather be dead than to let you out of my sight for even a whole minute!", I gasped and hugged him. "I cant loose you, Barricade! Your my only friend and the only person besides my cousin who actually cares about me.", I exclaimed and he vented.

Soon his holoform was activated and we both were cuddled in his backseat. After he fell into recharge I fell asleep. Before I did fall asleep though I mumbled, "I refuse to ever leave your side and go to the bots without you."
