You had met the cat at MTT Resort when you had first stayed there. He wouldn't talk to you unless you bought something and you liked talking to him so you'd always go buy something. You entered the lobby where the concession he worked at was, but the only person you could see around was Mettaton.
"Hey Mettaton" you said walking up to the robot.
"Oh, (Y/N), hello darling~"
"Where is everyone? It's usually packed in here" you gestures around to the empty lobby.
"I suppose your looking for my dear worker, Burgerpants, hmm?"
"Well, I- um, yea. Yea I'm looking for him" you felt you cheeks tint pink. Wait did Mettaton know you liked him? Hopefully not, he couldn't keep secrets.
"He's at home. I let everyone have the day off since it's a special day today." Special day?
"Wait what's today? Why's it so
I special?" You queried.
"Tonight's the night I show off my new body on my show. Ooh I can't wait!" And with that the square robot went away. Good thing you knew where Burgerpants's place was. You had been there a few times before seeing as you two were friends after all. It wasn't too far away, near the resort/hotel anyway.
After about a fifteen minute walk, you arrive at Burgerpants's house and knocked on the door. Nobody answered, so you knocked again. After reacting this five times, you guessed he wasn't home. Weird.

Hey! Was just at your house. Wher r u?
Waking to you didn't even know where, three minutes past. Still no reply. You found yourself walking towards Waterfall. Ten minutes past and you had reached the beautiful place.
*beep beep*

Hey! Sorry I didn't hear my phone go off earlier. Anyways if u were still wondering I'm in the Marsh
The Marsh? That was close by.

Really I'm near there! I'll head over now. Shouldn't take to long

Not to long later, you were where you first met Onionsan. That meant you were now in the Marsh. After walking around admiring the star-like rocks in the ceiling, you saw Burgerpants sitting by one of the brilliant blue lakes up ahead.
"Hey" you called out, and Burgerpants turned to look at you.
"Oh, hey (Y/N). That was fast" you walked over and sat next to him.
"Haha yea. I wasn't that far away when you texted me back" you laughed, which made Burgerpants laugh, too. "So why were you way out here in the marsh in the first place?" You asked after a minute or two of silence.
"I- um.... I was just walking... And wound up here, I guess" you could tell he was avoiding the truth, but decided not to push him to tell the truth.
"Oh" was all you managed to say a you both started into the water. After a few minutes of silence you noticed Burgerpants staring at the rocks on the cave ceiling.
"Got any wishes?"
"Hmm?" He looked over at you "Oh. Yea I have one wish, but its stupid"
"Tell me"
"It, it's stupid"
"Oh come on, please" you pleaded.
"How bout this. I'd my wish comes true, I'll tell you. How's that sound?"
"Oh, fine then" you splashed some water at him and laughed, then splashed you back. It turned into a splash fight which ended with you falling in.
"(Y/N)! Oh geez, sorry bout that little buddy" he said as he helped you out the water.
"It's okay, really I'm fine. Cold, but fine"you said and laughed, shivering slightly.
"Here, take this. It should keep you warm for now" he took off the hoodie he was wearing and tried handing it to you.
"I'm soaking wet, it'll get your hoodie all wet"
"I don't mind, (Y/N)" he convinced you and you put the hoodie on. Burgerpants was right. You were a lot warmer now.
"Thanks"
"Anytime"
You were both looking out on the water. It was so calm. You learned against his shoulder. "Still cold?" You nodded and he put his arm around you. Your face went all kinds of shades of red.
"Ya know, little buddy, your cute when you blush"
"I-I uh. T-thanks. Your cute, too. I-mean! I-uh um" your face somehow got redder and you tucked inside the hoodie from embarrassment. Burgerpants was laughing.
"I've waited a while for you say that" you poked your head back out the hoodie.
"R-really?"
"You wouldn't even know" he place his paw on your chin and tilted your head up and kissed you. You kissed back

It had been a month now, since you and Burgerpants had started dating. Once Mettaton had found out, he told everyone. That glittery pile of bolts couldn't keep his mouth shut. You were visiting Burgerpants at work.
*snap*
"Mettaton did you just take a picture of us?!" You yelled.
"Yes, darling, the undernet needs their update on the newest otp" Mettaton griped his phone.
"Wait were the Undergrounds otp?" Burgerpants asked his boss.
"Of course!"
"Come on let's go, you shift is over anyways" you told Burgerpants, giving him a kiss.

Back at your apartment, you were cuddling on the couch with Burgerpants watching T.V.
"Hey, (Y/N)?"
"Yea?"
"My wish came true"
