Louis was stressed. He came home from work to find a half dead Lottie, a stinky baby and a messy room.
He couldn't blame Lottie; what does she know about taking care of new born? After sending her home, Louis hurriedly cleaned up and bathed Freddie.
Luckily, Liam was an hour late so he got back the same time Niall did. Bless Niall, he brought food along with more baby formula for Freddie. Louis was going to pay him back but Niall insisted that it was okay.
Their lovely dinner was cut off when Freddie woke up again. Louis was beyond tired and decided he couldn't go to work tomorrow. Especially when no one would be around to watch Freddie.
So the next day was pretty much the same day as Tuesday. Except cute neighbour didn't come knocking again.
On Friday, he skipped another day at work and he might have ignored a few calls from work, but that's only for him to know.
It was finally Saturday so the three men and the baby were home. Liam was on his laptop on the couch taking care of work, Niall was talking to Liam, who wasn't listening to him, about something on the telly.
Louis however, was next to Liam, sleeping silently while Freddie was in his room, also asleep. Louis can't remember the last time he had a good night's sleep. He also knew he wouldn't be getting a lot of it for awhile.
His beauty sleep was interrupted by a loud banging on the door.
"Fuck- who's that?" Louis jerked up as he watched Niall walk towards the door and open it, revealing the tall, curly haired cutie from next door.
"Hi," he started. "I'm Harry from next door and I was wondering if you have an egg I could borrow."
"Yeah, we do!" Niall cheered. "Come on in. I'm Niall, by the way." The two lads walked in as Niall closed the door.
Liam and Louis was both looking at the boy who was now walking towards their kitchen, giving them a small smile as he walked past them.
"Oh, I thought you might be Liam, the guy who ordered from my store last week."
"You have a store?" Niall asked as he took an egg from the fridge.
"Well, an online store." Harry corrected himself.
"That's awesome, you're your own boss." Niall smiled, handing him the egg.
Harry giggled. "Yeah, it kinda is cool."
As the two boys made their way out of the kitchen, they stopped where Liam and Louis sat. "This is Liam, he's the one who bought your herbal tea." Niall explained.
Liam smiled as he stood up and shook Harry's gigantic hands. "Nice to finally meet you, I love your herbal tea."
"Thanks," Harry giggled again.
"And this is Louis-" Niall started but was cut off by Louis.
"The one with the baby," Louis smiled at Harry, the boy giggled again.
"The one who's sleep I interrupted."
"You didn't!" he did.
"Your baby's sleep," Harry corrected.
"You didn't interrupted his, either." he did.
Harry smiled, still holding an egg in one of his palms. "So, where is the baby?"
"He's asl-" Liam tried to explained, bless him, but the sound of the baby crying was heard and the three men sighed.
"It's your turn, Niall," Louis scoffed.
"No, it's Liam's," Niall defended himself.
"I was the one who put him to sleep!" Liam argued. "It's Louis' turn!"
"I've had him all night!" Louis fought back.
Harry watched them argued and thought how stupid the three boys were. The poor baby was still crying and instead they were out here arguing.
"I'll get him," Harry volunteered, following the sound of the baby and into Louis' room.
The three boys shut up and stared at Louis' bedroom door with dropped jaws. "We're literally the worst people ever," Liam commented.
"Lets just pray he didn't smashed that egg on Freddie's head," Niall prayed.
Louis just sighed and stood up, walking into his room to see the baby was no longer crying and was wrapped in Harry's arm, with his small head on Harry's chest as Harry sang to him. He was singing silently but Louis could made out his voice and he'd be lying if he thought his voice wasn't beautiful.
His back was facing Louis, he didn't even know Louis was in the room until he spoke. "You didn't have to, Niall would've got him eventually." He smiled, "It's his turn anyways."
"No, it's fine. I love babies." Harry grinned. "He's really small though; how old is he?"
"He's a week old." Louis sighed. "His mum is in America- it's a long story."
"Oh, your wife works in America?" Harry asked.
"She's not my wife," Louis cringed at the thought of being married to Briana. "We're not together like that-"
"Oh, she was a surrogate mother?" Harry guessed. "You and Liam look cute together."
"No, what the fuck," Louis laughed. "Liam and I aren't together! And she wasn't a surrogate."
"Shhh, don't cuss near him!" Harry sent him a death glare before looking down at the sleeping baby.
"He's a week old, Harold."
"Doesn't mean he can't hear you," Harry pointed out. "And that's not my name."
Louis just chuckled, looking down at the sleeping baby. "Thank you though."
"Anytime," Harry smiled. "If you ever need a sitter you can trust, you can just hit me up."
That wasn't supposed to sound dirty, but to Louis it did.
