Darkness. Max Ragan lies in the hospital ward, unable to move, speak or open his eyes. He can barely think. His brain is telling him to yell, scream out for help.. His body is stuck, stiff like a rusty robot in need of oil. What is going on? Why can't he move? He hears faint movement a few feet away, footsteps maybe? He keeps telling himself over and over "wake up, move.. OPEN YOUR FUCKING EYES" but he is disable to. He hears slight beeping in his ear... He can kind of make it out.. A heart monitor? He feels hot, like he may be sweating but he cannot tell, he is numb all over. Suddenly he feels kind of dizzy, like he's falling. Falling

THUD.
What is going on? He feels tingliness in his fingers which then moves down to his thighs. He can feel them. His hearing becomes a whole lot clearer, the beeping is definitely a heart monitor. Am I in hospital? The footsteps are moving quickly, in and out the cramped room. All of a sudden someone is holding his hand.
"Mr Ragan? Can you hear me?"
