I woke up as usual, my phone alarm sounding. I pressed snooze, waiting for the next alarm to go off two minutes later. After about thirty minutes of drifting asleep and waking back up i threw the covers across my bed, hearing my mother yell "twenty minutes!"
I got on my feet, walking to my closet and finding my school uniform awaiting me, as usual. I slipped it on, put on my perfume and walked out of my room. I grabbed a meal supplement bar and started the search for my shoes. "Brush your teeth, Skylar," i heard as i was opening my processed breakfast. I went to my bathroom, brushed my teeth, then headed out the door.
From what i knew, it was a normal day in my life. I picked up my friend and took her to school with me. I got to school and no one talked to me. My normal resting bitch-face was in play. I sat down in my seat, and waited for my teacher to start class. One of my peers had a gloomy look on her face. Instinctively i asked her what was wrong.
"My brother," she said, "he went missing last night. We don't know where he went, or why." I nodded and told her i would pray for her brother's return. Only, what no one knew, was that he would never return.
