"What the hell do you think you're doing, Slane?"

Slane dropped what he was holding, then quickly scrambled to get a grasp of it before I could see what it was. Stupid move, dude, I thought to myself. I was even more intrigued now.

He looked at me with wide eyes. "N-nothing?"

I walked towards where he was sitting on the bathroom floor, with his back against the side of the tub, knees up and arms crossed with his elbows on his knees. The song All Your Hate by Black Veil Brides was blaring from the iPhone  that was lying on the floor next to him. My iPhone.

"Why the hell do you have my iPhone?!" I practically screeched at him. Just wait until I get my hands on that boy... He'll be the death of me one of these days. There is a LOT of private things on that phone...

"Why was Jake Collins texting you that shit?" He looked at me with a blank stare. My trying to figure out what he was doing before was now long forgotten. I needed to get that phone away from him.

"Forget about it. Just give me back my phone." I demanded sternly yet cautionsly. You never know when he could have another 'freak-out', as Bentley calls it.

Oops, I haven't introduced myself. My name's Alexis Raine Morgan. I'm seventeen years old, and I live with my adoptive dad, Bentley, and the other kid that he adopted a few years before me. Slane Michael Murphy. He's also seventeen, but his six foot three inches height towered over my five foot one inch height. Yeah, yeah. I'm short; get over it.

"Fuck that! I wanna know why that douche was texting you that shit." He paused and looked at me with wide. innocent eyes. Wait, innocent? There is nothing innocent about this boy. "Actually, I'd really like to know why he has your fucking phone number." He narrowed his eyes at me accusingly.

"Just because you have an issue with-"

"An issue? I do not have an issue with him. He's just a damn asshole!" He yelled at me, making me flinch away from him. I've always hated it when people raised their voice, and he knew it. His eyes softened when he saw my expression, but his face quickly hardend again and he clenched his teeth.

"Can I please just have my phone back?" I asked him softly, my voive barely a whisper. It was amazing that he was actually able to hear me.

He looked at me and sighed. "Fine, whatever. Take the fucking thing." He picked up my phone and threw it at me; I barely caught it, it was so close to slipping from between my fingers.

"Thanks.." I told him, honestly confused. I was'nt expecting him to give me my phone. In my head, I had imagined that I was going to have to chase him around the house for it. It definately would not have been the first time.

"Now get out of here.." He whispered to me, even though he seemed like he was zoned out. As if he didnt even notice me still standing there.

He may not have noticed me as I walked out of the small bathroom, but I did notice the tear that fell from his eye and rolled down his face, making his cheek glisten.
