Chapter 1!
“Come on, Tashi! Get out of there…” there was a slight pause and,” we are really sorry Tashi! Please come out of there.” A voice called from the other side of the door. That would be my best friend, Stephan. We had clicked instantly when we met. Although I am a few months older than him, we became pretty close pretty fast. So close that you could never find an instance when Stephan and me where apart. We were like two peas in a pod. At least that’s what our parents said. Even as a kid I was so attached to Stephan that I refused to go to kindergarten without him.
My hands were getting soaked and then I was pulled out of my thoughts and I remembered what I had been doing.
“Good you should feel sorry. You know exactly how much I hate to be disturbed when I am asleep!” I yelled back a response. The reason they were apologizing was because I was a kind of person who stayed mad for a while.
“Come on Tashi, we really are sorry. And we promise never to do that ever again.” called out a different voice. That would be Jake, Stephan’s older brother. He is exactly two years older than Stephan and I say exactly because coincidently they were born on the same day but two years apart. I had always thought that he was the cutest guy I had met and that was when I was 10. So you could say that I had fallen for my best friend’s brother at the age of eleven. And after 2 years those feelings haven’t changed. The only person who knows about my feelings for Jake is Stephan and at first he didn’t like it. He kept saying that it would be weird for him if we ever got together. But now we rarely talked about my feelings towards Jake because Stephan and even I feel awkward to talk about it.
Anyway back to topic. I was gonna get revenge alright and that would be with Jake’s water gun. I had slowly snuggled Jake’s water gun from his room without him knowing. Jake is Jake would be mad when he found out but it is worth it. I wanted to get my payback on both the brothers for what they did. Ever since I could remember both the brother’s loved practical jokes and pranks. They never got enough of it. And lately since it’s summer holidays and since I practically live at their place during the summer I was their latest target. For instance today morning they decided to give me a wakeup call by empting a bucket of water on me in the morning. ON BED! I was soaked and pissed like hell. I didn’t care who the hell does that but if anyone disturbs my beauty sleep I get cranky. So what I had done so far? I chased them around the house but failed to catch them. They ran and jumped into the pool. They knew how I didn’t get into the pool in the morning so before they could come out I ran into Jake’s room and snatched his water gun which he kept under the bed…. I knew that because one day me and Stephan had ransacked his room one day to get stuff to blackmail him but got nothing but we found his hiding place for his water gun and other stuff mostly hidden under the bed.
So here I was filling the water gun without them having the slightest idea about the plan in my head and they kept on whining from the otherside of the door apologizing their heads off. It was actually amazing to hear them apologizing cause they rarely do so.
“I hate you guys! I never wanna see you’ll again!” I shouted back after a while of giving them the silent treatment.
“Come on Tashi, we are sorry….we won’t do anything like that ever again. How can we make it up to you?”
“Well….”
“What, tell us….we will do anything!”
“Ok, I have one thing. How about you guys turn around and wait. And don’t turn!”
“Ok.” they said in union but I can get a hint of uncertainty in their voices.
I opened the door to see two backs turned to me. I quickly squirted water at the two of their backs and darted down the stairs which I was thankful that was situated just next to the bathroom.
