I stood at the top of my stairs and danced around excitedly. I couldn't believe this was actually about to happen. This party was going to be so insane, and it was Marcel's first rave. I was praying he could keep up with me and Kat. This was the part of life that was our expertise.
"You ready for this sunshine?" Kat said as she came out of my room looking like a million bucks.
I gave her wink, "You know it!"
We ran down the stairs laughing and talking about how excited we were.
"Now one second."
We both turned to see my mother looking at us with a stern expression.
"Yeah, mom?
"You're really about to leave this house and not give me a kiss? My own daughters? You guys suck."
Me and my best friend attacked my mother with hugs and kisses before running out the door to get Marcel.
"Bye mom, love you!" we both yelled simutaneously.
Kat and I linked arms like school girls as we walked across the street, tonight was going to change everything. I can feel it in my bones.
