Niall's pacing the length of the airport arrivals lounge repeatedly, while Harry and Zayn watch him from the couch they're sitting on, "calm down Niall, they'll be here soon" Harry chuckles, while Zayn nods, scrolling through his phone. Niall stops his pacing to spin around and face his two best friends, ever since his family moved in up the street from the pair of them, it's always been the three of them, but he's always wanted something more. Something he finally found thanks to Zayn and his borderline unhealthy obsession with popstar Liam Payne. Through Zayn, and Liam with slightly less help from Harry, Niall found Josh. And today after too many weeks apart Josh is finally coming home, coming to spend some much needed time with Niall. Niall's head whips to the arrivals gate as he sees people starting to flood through it, before turning to face his best friends who grin, standing up as well, moving to stand on either side of him. Zayn pulls away first, running across the tiled floor to throw himself into Liam's arms, the pair embracing and kissing passionately, Niall grimaces as he looks away PDA has never been his favourite thing, but he does understand Zayn's need right now. Louis appears next, and Harry pauses to pat Niall's shoulder before he too takes off at a full out sprint to hurl himself into Louis' waiting arms, the two locking in a deep kiss as soon as they make contact.
Niall's watching the gate so closely he almost misses him, but when he spots him, he can see how travel weary he is, but he also feels like he's breathing fresh air for the first time, as his eyes land on Josh. He's got a backpack slung over one shoulder, dragging a suitcase behind him, a snapback (that he stole from Niall) pushed onto his head, "Josh!" Niall calls out, watching as his boyfriend's head snaps up at the sound, and then Niall too takes off running, his body slams into Josh's with enough force he's surprised they didn't fall over, as he wraps his arms around him, Josh laughs as he hugs him back tightly "I missed you" Niall breathes, pulling away just enough to take in Josh's tired features. Josh nods, pulling him in for a kiss, before allowing Niall just enough space to breath, although as usual when he's kissing Josh, Niall almost forgets how to. "I missed you too Ni, Sandy just doesn't cuddle the same" Josh grins, "hey, you never used to mind my cuddles" Sandy calls as he walks past, "good to see you Niall" he adds on before he disappears, lost in the crowd of people again. Niall bites his lip before he's back to kissing Josh, one hand coming up to cup his scruffy cheeks, hold him in place, keep him from getting away. Josh reaches up tangling their fingers together, "hey, I'm not going anywhere, not for awhile anyways, I got you" he reassures, and Niall smiles stepping back just slightly out of his space, "good" he mumbles and Josh nods, reaching for his suitcase once again, "take me home" he mutters and Niall nods, "you got it" he answers leading Josh by their joined hands through the crowded airport, towards the parking lot.
Niall pulls up outside of Josh's apartment, they spend most of their time when he's home hiding away together here, and Niall's missed it, missed everything about Josh really. Niall parks and moves to get out of the car, but Josh reaches over grabbing his wrist to stop him, Niall arches an eyebrow at him confused, but Josh just sighs, reaching over the center console and pressing his lips to Niall's again. Niall gets lost in the kiss, before Josh pulls away and rests their foreheads together, "missed you" he mumbles and Niall smiles, "I missed you too Joshy" he murmurs. Josh rolls his eyes at the nickname, but Niall just smirks, "now are we going to sit in my car all day, or should we go inside?" he asks, Josh shrugs, "I'm happy here" he mumbles. Niall shakes his head "come on Lover Boy, let's go inside" he chuckles, opening his door and climbing out of the car. They're on their way upstairs quickly and Niall glances over at Josh in the elevator, he still looks tired but he seems to have a permanent smile on his face, "you okay?" Niall asks slowly and Josh turns to him with a tired smile, "yeah, just tired and could really use a shower" he murmurs, as the elevator opens and they step off heading towards Josh's apartment.
Once they're inside Niall removes Josh's hat, and pushes him in the direction of the bathroom, Josh raising his eyebrows in question. Niall shrugs, "you go shower, I'll order us some lunch, then we can figure out what we're doing" he explains. Josh just nods and Niall watches as he tiredly makes his way down the hall and disappears, the shower coming on not long later. Niall quickly moves Josh's suitcase and backpack into his bedroom, before pulling his phone out and calling in an order for food, from their favourite restaurant. Niall then flops onto the couch, he hasn't been on in the months Josh has been gone and sighs, he's really missed Josh, but more importantly he's wondering what they are as a couple. He knows they've never been in a hurry to label things, they took much longer than Zayn and Liam, and even Harry and Louis to admit they were infact boyfriends, but now his best friends are engaged to the men of their dreams, with the weddings only months away, and here he and Josh are, not even technically living together, although they do spend all the time when Josh is home together at one apartment or the other.
