Chapter 1

These days, a lot of things have changed. People have changed, and not in a good way. Everyone has gotten violent, almost as though they're being taken over by a weakness or anger or something. Oh, well I don't know. That's just what has seemed to happened. I haven't thought too much of it, I've just kind of let it happen. In my city there's only been one outbreak, and they arrested the guy. He didn't kill anyone, he just tried to rob a market.
I've been living with my dad in New York, and judging by what happens around here I'm surprised nothing has happened.
Grateful, though.
Well, anyways. Lately I've been in a bad mindset, my friend is going off to some fancy college-type thing in the country. We were going to get apartments in the same complex, but that never really happened because she's off soon. Oh well, I guess I can't do anything.
She's leaving in a week or so. I'm happy for her, believe me, but I don't have the best feeling about this.
