Ragged breaths of air left frisk's frostbitten, semi-swollen and pale crimson lips in pants as she ran through the snow, sinking slightly in the snow ever step she took. Her boots began to fill up with snow every time she kicked a bit up, but she didn't care. She was currently running through the outskirts of Snowdin, her royal purple backpack hitting her back lightly every time she slammed her boots into the frozen ground beneath her.

Her destination was the same as it was every Friday. After homeschooling with Toriel and helping Asgore with being the ambassador of monsters to humans, she would pack some clothes and games and necessities and would run to visit her friends. She would normally alternate between a sleepover with her brainiac lizard otaku with her fish girlfriend and the two skeleton brothers, but this was the third week in a row that she had been staying the weekend with the skeletons. The reason behind this strange series of events was Undyne and Alphys were packing up to move to the surface. Alphys was planning on working with NASA as a scientist and Undyne was going into the marines. Fitting, right? Frisk didn't want to seem in their way, so she left them alone. There was another reason she was staying with the skeletons, but she hadn't fully admitted it to herself yet.

While she hadn't admitted it to anyone but herself, she did know what she felt toward a certain skeleton. Papyrus had always seemed like a big brother to Frisk, helping her when she needed it, mentoring her, caring for her. She had always liked Papyrus, but not in the way she liked his brother.

Sans was a different story. Sans was......Well, he was.....God, she didn't know. Her heart pounded heavily in her chest and her pale cheeks would flush cherry red when he would get close to her. Her hands would tremble when he would tell a joke specifically for her pleasure. She would get flustered when it was just the two of them alone, together, enjoying the silence and each other's face.

Frisk wasn't oblivious to her feelings, just embarrassed.

She arrived in Snowdin finally, panting harder than she had previously. The scenery was familiar, soft golden lights pouring out from every home and building, a warm feeling radiating from them to contrast the chill of the weather in the underground town. Monster kid, well, now Monster TEEN, was standing by the Christmas tree, looking happily at his friend Frisk, his lower mouth blocked by his armless sweater. She waved at him frantically and then continued her sprint to Sans' and Papyrus' place. She passed Grillby's, and stopped for a brief moment to check and see if Sans was there. He wasn't, surprisingly, and Frisk sighed in relief, her long breath visible in the cold air surrounding her. She skipped lightly on her toes before reaching her destination. She grabbed her phone out of her sweater pocket, and checked the time whilst simultaneously trying to catch her rugged breath. 8:05. She was early, but knew the brothers would be in the house regardless. She knocked on the door lightly, barely creating a sound. A few agonizingly long-seeming moments later, the door was opened by the sleepy sans.

He was sporting his regular attire, a plush, well worn, blue coat that frisk had imagined snuggling into countless times, a white shirt covered in ketchup stains after what seemed to be his lunch, black basketball shorts that extended a little past his knee caps, and his signature faced pink slippers that had seen a lot over the past 10 years.

He looked sleepy, his deep black eyes hooded by his eyelids, his under eyes a little darker than normal, and a puzzled look on his face. As soon as he noticed it was her, he perked up, his pin pricked eyes lighting up as he stared at her, his signature grin residing on his face.

"Well, come on in, kiddo." Sans gestured to behind him and stepped aside and away from the door to make room for her. She groaned at the nickname he bestowed upon her many years ago. It had been a full seven years since she broke the barrier at age 10, yet he still called her a childish nickname. In his defense, he was probably older than her, so it was still like she was a kid to him.
